The gender of Spanish nouns - Fill in the blanks

In recent years I have worked as an Academic Director at a Language School in northern Spain. My job duties there included designing intensive Spanish & English courses for beginners’, intermediate and advanced levels, as well as teaching both on-site and via Skype. This constant interest has allowed me to become familiar with techniques and tools that are essential in today´s second language learning, such as the materials used by the Cervantes Institute and the most renowned publications and blogs in the field of language teaching. Most particularly, I have made extensive use of audiovisuals and creative writing activities in order to develop consistent, effective courses. 

As an on-line teacher, I have steadily used different technology applications in language learning. My tasks as a teacher included setting homework and giving feedback to my students, according to their needs, on a regular basis, as well as keeping accurate register of their attendance and progress. 

Graduated in Hispanic Philology and Masters in Applied French, I have always kept up with my teaching training and have recently completed a Cambridge CELTA course for English teachers This further training has provided me with the familiarity to different teaching methodologies, which have proven to be extremely useful in my classes.

Hello! My name is Carmine. I was born and raised in The USA since 1962. My native tongue and accent is from Brooklyn, New York. I recently moved to Italy.
I teach here full-time and having so much fun meeting interesting and warm-hearted human beings. My interests are in bowling, Bible studies, aquariums, horses, house pets and playing word games such as Scrabble. I am TESOL/ TEFL Certified. I've traveled for many years in the Navy and always enjoyed meeting and engaging with the native folks. Hello, my name is Rebecca Rygaard.
Recently graduated as a teacher of Danish and English for the primary and lower secondary schools in Denmark, according to the Bachelor's Degree Program in Education, from University College Copenhagen.

I am born and raised in Denmark, and am a native speaker of Danish.

In my teaching I use a communicative approach, focused on having us communicate with each other and produce language to learn it. We will learn both from "input" (what we hear, read) and "output" (what we say, write).

This communicative approach will be focused on "real life" and authentic situations - that means that I'll actually base the teaching on my students lives. I.e. we could be talking about what has brought you to want to learn Danish. There will be authentic language only in this class - not language about hypothetical situations, that you might not ever need.

As part of this method, we'll be using task-based learning - you'll often learn the language through "tasks" in my class, with the point that you'll have to use communication, in cooperation with your peers (or me) to solve them. It's a lot of fun, I guarantee.

You will also be learning about the Danish culture, as I believe culture and language go together, and one cannot be understood without the other (I very much look forward to introducing you to Danish customs, traditions and food).

I'll be focused on your progress, rather your 'errors', as I don't believe in teaching a language by focusing on student's "mistakes", but on their potential. There is an "interlanguage" that is the language that emerge in between your original language, and the language you're trying to learn. And it is only normal that this language is a bit of a mix, that is ever-evolving.

With me, you'll also have the important advantage that I am both a teacher of English and Danish, and therefore know how the languages correlate.

I've learned about all of these aspects "the communicative approach", "task-based learning", "cultural studies" and "interlanguage" and a "functional view on language learning", as a part of my education, and I know they are all a part of recent research in the field.

I have prepared a lesson plan for beginners - which can both be used for group- and single lessons. But I can also create a specifically crafted lesson plan just for you and your needs/level, or if you already know Danish, but just want to improve it.

In my classes students will not only learn English to use in the classroom. Students will learn English to use in real life. I cater my curriculums specifically to my students and their goals. I include lessons and activities to help students learn how to speak, listen to, understand, write, and read the English language. I offer classes for all ages and levels. I use accredited books and sources, however I also use common items seen in the United States as learning tools to give students an authentic experience. I hope to see you in the classroom!

My lessons are based on a singular approach that is personalized, so my method is always different and planned considering students's goals and skills. I am Marcella, a native Italian who has moved to Switzerland to study.
I have a degree in Ancient Literature with a focus on archaeology, and in Italy I am qualified to teach literary classes.
I am doing a PhD in archaeology at the University of Bern, where I teach every two semesters.
I prefer to teach one-to-one or in pairs in order to make the most of my time and focus on people's needs. I prepare targeted courses, which is why I offer a trial lesson to establish the future course of the lessons.
Lessons are usually always mixed, conversation and grammar using audio, video and text material. Depending on the speed at which the student intends to progress, homework assignments are structured.
