Terms and conditions - student contract

Thank you for considering our online language school.

This terms and conditions serve as a contract between any student of the online language school, coLanguage, with business details:

Hereafter, "coLanguage".

1. General Terms

1.1 By using coLanguage, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

1.2 coLanguage provides private and group language lessons with native teachers to students.

1.3 coLanguage reserves the right to modify or change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

1.4 Students establish a contractual relationship solely with coLanguage. They purchase lesson packages exclusively from coLanguage and are not permitted to acquire lessons from any teacher contacted through the platform outside of the coLanguage platform. The resulting damage can be recovered from the student.

2. Lessons

2.1 coLanguage offers private and group lessons for a variety of languages with organized lesson packages.

2.2 Lessons are scheduled at a time that is convenient for both the student and the teacher and agreed between the two parties.

2.3 Students are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary equipment and internet connection to participate in the lessons.

3. Cancellation and rescheduling

3.1 If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, you must do so at least 24 hours in advance.

3.2 If you cancel or reschedule a lesson less than 24 hours in advance, you will forfeit that lesson.

3.3 If a teacher needs to cancel a lesson, we will make every effort to reschedule at a mutually convenient time or refund the lesson money.

3.4 The student is responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection. If a lesson is canceled due to issues such as poor internet connectivity or other errors on the student's end, the lesson will still be charged.

4. Payments

4.1 Payments for lessons are made in advance through our online payment system. Payments should always happen through the coLanguage website.

4.2 We accept payment via bank transfer, ideal, bankcontact, sofort banking, credit card, debit card, or PayPal.

4.3 Lessons are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances, such as a teacher's cancellation or technical difficulties.

4.4 When buying multiple lesson hours at once in advance, the student is applicable for discounts.

4.5 The student pays 100% of the lesson money to coLanguage, who will provide the student with an invoice for the given services. Teachers are subcontracted by coLanguage. 4.6 All lessons have to be scheduled and documented on the coLanguage website.

5. Privacy

5.1 We value your privacy and will protect your personal information. Your information is only used to process payments or match you with the correct learning group or teacher.

5.2 Your data is treated in full compliance with EU GDPR law.

5.3 We will not share your personal information with third parties, except as required by law or as necessary to provide our services.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of coLanguage and is protected by copyright law.

6.2 Students may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of our content without our prior written permission.

7. Disclaimer

7.1 coLanguage is not responsible for any loss or damage that may result from the use of our services.

8. Governing Law

8.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which our online language school is based - Valencia, Spain, European Union.

8.2 Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of that jurisdiction.

9. Refunds and expiry of prepaid lesson credits

9.1 Students can utilize the prepaid lesson credits they've bought with one teacher to switch to another teacher of their choice during the validity period of their credits, which lasts for up to one year from the date of purchase.

9.2 Refunds for prepaid lesson credits will only be issued to a European IBAN account.

9.3 Prepaid lesson credits are refundable within 30 days of purchase.

9.4 In the event that coLanguage has provided satisfactory service, and the cause for the refund is attributed to the student, an administration cost of up to 15% of the refunded amount may be applicable.

9.5 Prepaid lesson credits have a validity period of one year from the date of purchase.

Edutalent S.L. reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without previous notice. Any change of terms and conditions takes effect after the publication date.
