I attended a Foreign Language High School in Italy and passed the first year at the University (foreign languages ​​and literatures) in Udine, Italy.
I worked in the retail and hospitality industry in the past, assisting guests from all over the world, talking with them in Italian, English, German and sometimes French.
I managed an after-school program for children (elementary and middle school) with a friend, and I taught them how to improve their knowledge of English and German language.
I spent a year in Ireland, first working as an au pair and then as an employee at a corporation, dealing with the American and German markets.
I have recently got a Cambridge English certificate (C2 level) and a certificate for teaching online from Arizona State University. I am currently studying to get a German certificate (C1 level).
I offer English tailor- made lessons for everyone, regardless of age: students and employees, housewives and workers.
Depending on your needs, I can teach you the language starting with the basics, explaining topics which are difficult for you to understand, and having conversations, so as to have a more lively way to communicate.
I like to enrich my classes not only through textbooks, but also through elements taken from everyday life such as films, newspapers, books, and a good dose of creativity.
I am happy and proud to have helped many students to pass their foreign languages exams and to improve their grades, and to be still in touch with some of them.

Hello! My name is Ainhoa, I am Spanish and I live in Bilbao, a city in the north of Spain. I love languages ​​and learning about new cultures, that is why I decided to teach Spanish. I find it very gratifying to see the students improve.

I am an online Spanish teacher certified by ELE International and I have been teaching Spanish since 2019. In 2020 I formalized my business and became freelance.

In these years, I have studied Spanish grammar thoroughly and I have tried many teaching methods that were taught to me in my training, which has led me to create my own method with what I have seen has given better results. I'm also CELTA certified but more importantly, it's my experience as a teacher, as well as being a learner of Japanese (intermediate), Chinese (intermediate) and now Finnish (super basic, just started), that counts. I feel it's crucial to be in the students' shoes to better teach them and recommend resources, habits, and techniques that actually work.

My teaching methods include a lot of input through listening, texts, followed by guided practice based on the material. Grammar is taught in a complimentary way, but the main focus is input and communication. I follow CEFR topic order so that students can see how their knowledge scaffolds along.

The materials are picked from the internet depending on the student's needs and interests, be they work, travel, study, or just for fun. I like to include videos about different topics like culture, business, life hacks, news, interesting facts, science, love and relationships, among others, with intermediate/advanced students, and communicational dialogues with beginner students.

At university I studied translation and interpreting in Spanish, English, Russian and French and have been a language teacher since 2013, which is something I love.

I have lived in France and have British and Spanish family, so speaking several languages is something I do and enjoy every day. I love conversation, grammar, studying new vocabulary and learning about the differences between cultures in order to learn from them.

I have taught privately, in academies, in primary schools and high schools and in companies, so I have experience in many areas and with all ages and levels.

I have prepared students for official Cambridge, Trinity London and Aptis exams, but I have also helped to prepare for exams specific to some university degrees.

I have also prepared students to take the Spanish DELE exam.

I adapt very well to the needs of each student and I make almost all the materials I use and adapt them to the specific situations of each student.

I am originally from Vancouver, B.C., but I live in Peru now because I love sunshine. I am a very experienced teacher, as you can see in my resume, and yet I am still having a lot of fun.
