Our offer
A direct object pronoun plus an indirect object pronoun turns into a double object pronoun.
The English equivalent is usually an object pronoun plus a prepositional phrase (e.g. give it to me).
Example:
The indirect object pronoun always precedes the direct object pronoun.
Indirect object pronoun | Direct object pronoun |
---|---|
me (to me) | me (me) |
te (to you) | te (you) |
le < se (to him/her/it/ form. you) | lo (him, masc. it, form. you) la (her, fem. it, form. you) |
nos (to us) | nos (us) |
os (to you) | os (you) |
les < se (to them/form. you) | los (them, form. you) las (fem. them, form. you) |
Examples:
When the indirect object pronouns le and les are followed by the direct object pronouns lo/la/los/las, they turn into SE.
Example:
Se la entregó antes de salir de la oficina. (He handed it over to him before leaving the office.)
For a more in-depth explanation, look at the direct object pronouns and indirect object pronouns subpages.
Take online language lessons with a professional teacher
Double object pronouns avoid repetitions and simplify messages.
Example:
To clarify the recipient of the action, a preposition plus noun or pronoun is usually added.
Example:
Se la voy a dar a los niños. No se la voy a dar a ti. (I will give it to the children. I won't give it to you.)
Double object pronouns are generally placed before the conjugated form of the verb.
Examples:
Mira la falda que lleva mi hija. Se la compré ayer en El Corte Inglés. (Look at the skirt my daughter is wearing. I bought it to her yesterday at El Corte Inglés.)
However, double object pronoun placement depends on the conjugated form of the verb.
Pay attention to the following cases:
With negative commands, the pronoun precedes the verb which refers to the command.
Example:
¡No me lo digas! (Don't say it to me!)
With affirmative commands, attach the pronoun to the verb which indicates the command
Structure: verb + indirect object pronoun + direct object pronoun).
Example:
____________________________________________________________________________________
* If the stressed syllable of the verb is the next-to-last one (not counting the pronoun), add the accent mark
When used with infinitive forms, the pronoun occurs after the infinitive and it is attached to it
Structure: infinitive + indirect object pronoun + direct object pronoun
Example:
Su padre se ha muerto. Acabo de decírselo. (His father has passed away. I have just said it to her.)
Otherwise, it can be placed before the verb which precedes the infinitive form.
Example:
Su padre se ha muerto. Se lo acabo de decir. (His father has passed away. I have just said it to her.)
When used with gerund forms, the pronoun occurs after the verb and it is attached to it.
Structure: infinitive + indirect object pronoun + direct object pronoun
Example:
Otherwise, it can be placed before the verb which precedes the gerund form.
Example:

Dear Student,
I am Daniela, a qualified teacher of Bulgarian as a foreign language.
I will be delighted to help you learn Bulgarian. I am originally from Sofia, Bulgaria. I am passionate about languages; I am fluent in English and Spanish, Czech and Slovenian. I have helped many foreigners now living in Bulgaria to better understand and speak with confidence in their social environment. I am always interested in their motivation to learn Bulgarian and I adapt myself completely to the needs and tastes of each student. My teaching style is very communicative, I teach through dialogues, and real situations so my students start speaking from the very first lesson. I make my classes fun and enjoyable for all students, as I believe it is very important that the student enjoys learning, that they look forward to the next class. We often talk about culture, traditions, history and all kinds of topics that interest the student and in this way, progress is much more natural and faster.
Many thanks.
Best regards, Daniela

Hello everyone! I'm Marta, and I am an Italian teacher. Since the beginning of my career I have worked in contact with foreign languages and Italian. While studying to obtain my master's degree in "Italian language and culture for foreigners", I had the opportunity to work as an Italian language assistant in a foreign University. More recently, I held an Italian course for people who have just arrived in Italy.
My greatest passion is literature, which I avidly read. To pursue this interest I also undertook a post-graduate master in translation, which allowed me to become a Spanish translator and to explore the world of editing by doing an internship at an independent publishing house. I am also fluent in English.
The classes for my students are centred around oral communication and Italian grammar, so I put great effort to exclusively speak Italian and avoid using other languages. I personalise PowerPoint presentations for my students, and I regularly prepare weekly assignments to be revised during the following lesson, in order to encourage individual study. The first class is free and is centred around the interests and needs of the student, in order to create a personalized and engaging program.
Teaching and languages has always been my passion, so if you want to learn or deepen your knowledge of Italian language and culture, do not hesitate to contact me!

Elena is an excellent teacher and a very nice person. I have been training in Spanish with Elena for quite some time now after her being recommended to me by a friend, and have consistently been very pleased with our lessons. While I do not consider myself to be very good at learning foreign languages, Elena is very patient and adapts the lessons to my ability, making me feel at ease. In fact, I find her to be extremely skilled at assessing exactly where I am at any given time with respect to my individual learning situation, and structuring the lessons accordingly. I think I probably would have given up trying to learn Spanish had I not began my study with Elena; and that would have been a shame in view of where I am now with the language. Because of Elena's skilled help, I am extremely pleased to not only be conversant in basic Spanish, but also have confidence that I will one day reach full proficiency with the language. No other learning method I tried before meeting Elena compares to the one-on-one, personalized instruction I receive from her, which comprises reading; writing; developmental exercises; and most importantly, conversation. To be able to look at Spanish now and have it appear largely familiar is extremely satisfying. I even plan to study Italian with Elena after reaching my desired level in Spanish. These are not things I ever imagined would occur at the beginning stages of my studies. I am a native English speaker and find Elena's English to be excellent. She had no difficulty instructing me from the very beginning levels where it was necessary that a lot of English be spoken in our lessons, to where we are now with much less English being spoken. The friend who recommended Elena to me learned Dutch from her, and is equally pleased with their experience. I would not hesitate to learn from Elena any of the languages she teaches. I give Elena my highest recommendations and thank her for all the help she has provided me.

Hello! My name is Valeria. I'm glad you took an interest in my profile. Let me tell you a bit more about myself. I'm really passionate about languages, and I can speak and teach English, Spanish, and Turkish. I am currently learning Korean, French, and Arabic. For this reason, you can be sure that I know what it's like to go through the process of learning a language and I can find the best ways to help you reach your language goals, taking into account the perspectives of both the teacher and the learner.
In my 9 years as a teacher, I have mostly worked with adult learners (aged 18 or older), with a particular focus on:
1. General, conversational, business or academic English (although I can teach any level, I specialize in intermediate and advanced classes).
2. General and conversational Spanish classes.
3. Basic and intermediate Turkish lessons (I am a C2 and I have been studying Turkish for 7 years).
In addition to the classes, I can help you prepare for presentations, business meetings or calls, traveling abroad, entertaining visitors, among others.
I love to teach students with completely different backgrounds, cultures, professions, and needs. My classes are and have always been completely personalized to fit students' needs. You will really notice a big difference from previous classes you may have taken because we will be focusing on filling the gaps that you may have and developing your language skills as needed. No one-size-fits-all here! Take a chance and sample one class. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
EXTRA: If you want to know more details about my classes: I work with a virtual classroom created using Google Classroom exclusively for your personal use. Here, I place all the materials we will use during our class, including a Word file where I will write your feedback for every class (New Vocabulary, Pronunciation Corrections, and New Grammar) so you can check it whenever you like.
I also create interactive Quizlet and Kahoot exercises that we will use during the class but that you can also use to practice on your own so you can reach your goals more quickly and in a fun way. In addition to this, we will use videos, songs, podcasts, articles, grammar PPTs and exercises, and whatever material you are interested in using.

I'm an English language teacher for more than 15 years with CELTA ( Cambridge English Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages); for sure, my lessons are active and updated. I can work with different levels mostly with adults.
I've been teaching lessons on line since October 2019 using Zoom.
Students' participation is maximised in my language lessons, for sure they are student-centred; in other words, I ensure plenty of student talking time through the use of communicative activities and consistent pair checks, clarifying the target language to an appropriate depth and in a student-centred way.
Come and join my classes, you´ll never feel like regreting your decision!!!

Suggestopedia makes it all happen.

I can help you with preparation for IELTS and TEFL; for your high school or university exam. We can work on your academic and business English, or we can just work it out until you are confident enough, no need for stressing for exams.
I have 4 years of experience as a mentor of an autistic teenager. I dived more into teaching English during my work in Colombia as part of my project for environmental education.
I realized how important it is to have a good time when learning English. I am always talking to my students about THEIR interests and fears; about what do they want to improve and what do they like to do. I design the lessons for the student; then the learning happens on its own.
I want to hear what do you think? Don't worry, we are in this together. I know how nice it is to be confident in your English, and I want to help you enjoy it, too!

I'm an experienced language teacher with 5 years of experience teaching Catalan, Spanish and English to all levels and ages (children and adults) and German to beginners. I've worked as a private teacher and as a teacher in a school, so I can handle students one to one as well as groups. Due to the Covid-19 crisis, I also have experience in online teaching.
I've got a degree in Catalan and English philology, a post-degree in teaching Catalan and the official master for teaching in secondary and Language Schools (English speciality).
In my classes I always take into account my students' needs. I focus on communication, without forgetting that we need to learn the grammar in order to speak/write correctly.
I use different materials depending on the level, the language and the students, but they are always of diverse nature and they include videos. I usually include material created by me.
I love learning languages myself, so I always try to think how I like the classes in order to make my own teaching more appealing to my students, so you can trust that, if you take classes with me, you will have an experiences teacher as well as an experienced language learner.

Hey! My name is Przemek and I'm an English linguistics graduate with a specialty in teaching and a holder of Delta, which is the highest and the most recognized diploma in the field of teaching English as a foreign language. I've been teaching for over 7 years, not only in Poland but also around the world. Teaching English gives me great satisfaction and motivates me to keep growing professionally. I'm also the founder and teacher at UP2 Academy - a modern online language school. I help people learning English by offering:
• individual classes – personalized lessons; help with current school or university material; topics tailored to the needs, e.g. business or legal English
• conversations – classes with an emphasis on speaking: improving pronunciation, learning fluency techniques; eliminating the most common lexical and grammatical errors; gaining self-confidence
• preparation for language exams – classes focused on exams, such as: Cambridge A2-C2, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, BEC
• preparation for job interviews and self-presentations
Apart from that, my lessons are characterised by:
• Communicative approach: you learn through conversations, roleplays, discussions, without learning all the rules by heart.
• Immersion: all the classes and interaction are in English
• Practicality: the classes and the activities are set in a real-life context
• Customised approach: the way the classes are delivered is adjusted to the student’s level and interests
• All language skills development: apart from speaking, you will also practice listening, reading and writing, which are crucial elements of any language
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks!

My name is Maja and I am a CELTA certified teacher holding a Bachelor's degree in English language and literature. My teaching experience spans over 15 years and it encompasses work with both children and adults. Time flies fast when you are having fun, some might say. And teaching for me is exactly that – fun.
During my career, I have worked with all levels and ages, both in primary and private language schools and now in an online setting.
Working with the little ones must be the most challenging but also the most rewarding aspect of this job. In my virtual classroom, I strive to constantly engage and activate my students by using props, visuals and gestures. In addition, creating a child-friendly environment and catering for students’ needs are essential for learning to take place.
In my spare time, every now and then I get away from the city and spend a bit of time in the great outdoors, hiking or camping. Tai Chi is something that I have recently discovered. And I absolutely love it!
You will find that I am a hard-working, reliable and an adaptable person and I am sure we will get along well.
So, let’s learn and grow together. Come and join me in my virtual classroom where the magic happens.
