Mark the signal words (in this exercise the definite or indefinite article), which show you, that the noun is in the dative case.
Der Bruder und die Schwester geben dem Vater das Geschenk. (The brother and the sister give the father the present.)
Die Mutter hilft der Tochter. (The mother helps the daughter.)
Der Sohn hilft dem Vater. (The son helps the father.)
Jana hat dem Lehrer das Heft gegeben. (Jana gave the notebook to the teacher.)
Hannah verzeiht dem Mitschüler. (Hannah forgives the classmate.)
Der Roller gehört der alten Frau. (The scooter belongs to the old woman.)
Sie gibt der Freundin einen guten Rat. (She gives the friend a good advice.)
Er gibt dem Mädchen den Stift. (He gives the pen to the girl.)
Das Mädchen gibt dem Pferd einen Kuss. (The girl gives the horse a kiss.)
Der Hund bringt dem Herrchen den Ball. (The dogs brings his master the ball.)
