Hi everybody, my name is Tra My, I have been living in Barcelona for 5 years. I speak Spanish, English, Vietnamese, a little Portuguese and Chinese. I have 4-year experience of teaching Vietnamese language to foreigners. However, I think language is not enough. I have 25 years of experience as an organist in a church. I teach choirs for children and adults and I have been a piano teacher. I feel that my experience in teaching choirs and pianostudents and playing music is very fruitful for the way that I teach Danish. I have followed an intensive online Dutch course and as a student I think it works out very well. My name is Eva, Hispanic Philology Degree and Master's degree in Teaching Spanish, and I have taugh Spanish for 14 years in language schools and for companies and individuals who want to live and work in Spain from very diverse sectors (businessmen, psychologists, video game designers, teachers ...), and people who wanted to learn the language by pleasure or to be able to communicate on their trips as well.

I can teach general classes, but I am specialized in personalized classes according to your professional and academic needs, focused on communication, conversation and pronunciation, to which I pay a lot of attention (many of my students come to my classes because they want to 'sound' more Spanish). The cultural component is essential for effective communication.

Normally I use a basic manual (I prefer the books by Prisma, the Edelsa publishing house) and complementary books on vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation, among others (Anaya and Edelsa publishing house are my favourite).

But the best thing is to listen to you and attend to your specific case.

Before starting the classes, I propose to have an interview to listen to you and understand your case, what you need and prepare our work together adjusting to your wishes.

Join a small group of learners of 2 or 3 for conversation lessons with me. An article or video to watch before the lesson and a conversation with personalized corrections during the lesson. This option saves you at least 10 euros per lesson on Colanguage.

I can help you prepare DELF-DALF Exams or work on specific needs (as professional French).

Here are a few tips on how to get the most out of every lesson:
1. Review what you covered in your previous lesson.
2. Focus on things you had difficulty with. I will definitely go over them.
3. It is always a great idea to take notes during your lessons. It helps you stay more focused on what you are learning.
4. Feel free to ask me if anything has come up since your last lesson that you want clarification on. Your questions do not have to be prior lesson related, maybe you are just curious about how to say something.
5. Be sure you have completed your homework assignments. If you were not able to complete them, make notes about what stumped you. Were the instructions not clear enough, was the vocabulary beyond your level of comprehension, were the grammar rules too overwhelming, was there too much homework for the time you had planned to spend on it, and so on.
6. Contact me prior to your next lesson if there are any issues or changes you would like to make me aware of so I can have a chance to make changes to your learning plan.
