Hi everybody, my name is Tra My, I have been living in Barcelona for 5 years. I speak Spanish, English, Vietnamese, a little Portuguese and Chinese. I have 4-year experience of teaching Vietnamese language to foreigners. However, I think language is not enough. If you would like to travel, study, work, live in Vietnam, or just look for a Vietnamese partner, you need to know more about Vietnamese culture. Additionally, I was working as a lawyer in Vietnam, so I can advise you on how to start a business in Vietnam and obtain residency permits. We will talk together about it in my classes. I am French living in Lisbon in Portugal. I have lived in different countries such as England, the United States and India. It gave me some experience of learning a foreign language and teaching it.
I am passionate about different cultures and try to share my love for French culture with you in a lively way.
I adapt to the needs of the students, whether to improve their oral, written, prepare for an exam or a job interview. I prioritize the conversation to allow the student to "unblock" and have fun speaking the language. I write down the vocabulary and grammar that the student lacks to express himself.
Learning a foreign language is, in my view, above all through cultural curiosity. We want to learn a language because we want to live in the country, travel there or get to know it better. We feel attracted. It is its Culture that motivates us in our learning: music, film, text, literature, way of being and cultural differences forming "another world". This means that learning is not just about learning a list of words and grammar lessons, as is taught too often in school. Practice again and again through conversation, books, music, movies and above all the pleasure of speaking and listening.

I adapt the student's personal work according to their available time and their objective (conversation, deadline for an exam, scheduled trip, etc.).

I am a certified English/Arabic/French/Italian teacher with two degrees in Interpreting and Translation and three Cambridge Teacher Trainings (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA). I am currently enrolled in the DELTA program (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) which is the highest English teacher training worldwide recognized.
At the beginning of my classes, it is important to evaluate students' needs and aims and in order to do that, I will send a "needs' analysis" so that I can better help you with your learning.
I mainly use Zoom as teaching platform because I think it is much better than Skype or Microsoft Teams because it allows a much better student-teacher interaction pattern.
According to Steven Krashen, one of the most renown linguist and education experts: "The best methods are therefore those that supply 'comprehensible input' in low anxiety situations, containing messages that students really want to hear. These methods do not force early production in the second language but allow students to produce when they are 'ready', recognizing that improvement comes from supplying communicative and comprehensible input, and not from forcing and correcting production".
Personally, I think that this is the right approach to teach because as a teacher we need to create a safe environment for our students, lower their effective filter so they can perform at their best potential.
I realized after years of experience as a languages student and teacher that several countries not just my country (Italy) have been using a teaching methodology which is obsolete and not suitable for students' needs and aims. The 80-20 rule is the sure way to achieve this goal. Can you guess which part is the student's one? The 80 of course, you are the one who needs to improve, to talk and learn. We as teachers we are doing whatever it takes to guide you through the process.
During my experience as a teacher I worked with teenagers, university students and adults. I had the pleasure to teach Arabic to university students who needed further assistance for their exams. I taught to adults’ businessmen who needed to learn the basis of Arabic because of their work. I taught French and English to teenagers and university students that needed further help with their exams or simply to improve their listening and speaking skills. I have also experience in teaching Business English.

After training as a pastry chef and studying business administration, I traveled a lot and discovered my interest in languages. To find out more about teaching languages, I decided on further training at the Goethe Institute and completed it. During the Goethe Institute "Learn to teach German" course I was able to give individual language lessons and actively support the examination preparation for the Goethe certificate.

Hi, I am an Italian girl. I have a bachelor's degree in Linguistic Mediation and a master's degree in Linguistic Science, I was an English teacher before. When I was in China, I taught English to Chinese children. Here in Italy I help Italian people to learn English and to prepare English exams. I am a nice girl, I lived in London and I know English culture as well.

I have an Honours degree in Quantity Surveying from the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I have 2 years experience in tutoring in University. The beauty of teaching English online is that there is often an exchange between student and teacher beyond the content of the lesson plan itself. I am an experienced and  teaching-passionate language professional offering tailor-made Croatian (all levels),  General English (Elementary, Beginner's, Intermediate & Upper-intermediate level) and Russian (Elementary & Intermediate level) Conversation lessons as well as Business English.
The lessons are structured according to student's needs with a variety of interesting topics.  A range of different teaching materials is used.  I tend to apply mostly visual aids as, according to my experience, they help students most in memorising new words and language structures. 
During the lessons we are focusing on further development of communication skills but we are also exploring vocabulary, grammar and culture. We read and discuss various texts, analyze grammatical issues, listen to conversations and songs, play games and quizzes and more than anything, we TALK!  That makes conversation lessons always interesting, useful and likeable.
