Hi everybody, my name is Tra My, I have been living in Barcelona for 5 years. I speak Spanish, English, Vietnamese, a little Portuguese and Chinese. I have 4-year experience of teaching Vietnamese language to foreigners. However, I think language is not enough. If you would like to travel, study, work, live in Vietnam, or just look for a Vietnamese partner, you need to know more about Vietnamese culture. I am a teacher of Italian to Speakers of Other Languages with many years of experience in teaching in public and private schools. I have taught Italian to speakers of other languages in schools, in migratory contexts and in vocational training at all levels (from pre A1 to C2 ). I have gained experience as a teacher with Arabic-speaking, Slavic-speaking, German-speaking, French-speaking, Spanish-speaking, Sinophone, Lusophone and Anglophone students, and have taught literacy courses for asylum seekers and refugees. I did a training internship as a lecturer in Italian at the Department of Romance at the University of Salzburg. I completed my training by teaching Italian to learners with special educational needs. Moreover, I am a CILS, CELI and PLIDA examiner for the speaking part. I also speak German, English and French and I successfully completed my Celta in October 2020.
My lessons focus mainly on two aspects: oral and written production and the study of grammar, with particular attention to phonetic and phonology. My lessons are aimed at satisfying the needs of the learner and are prepared according to the needs of each one.

I was born in Norway in 1958. Since 1999, I have been living in Madeira, Portugal.My interests are many; music, photography, art, animals, nature, gardening, healthy food, teaching….
Qualifications & Experience
My academic background is in music and pedagogy from the Norwegian State Academy of Music, with some extra from Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, and Norway Inland University of Applied Sciences.
I have many years of experience as a musician, teaching music and musical instruments.
Teaching language is closely related to teaching music.
I am teaching Norwegian as a Foreign Language online at Folkeuniversitetet Øst, Myngel and LTC language solutions, and have been teaching at  Lingu Norge and Learnship as well. I have also been teaching at Berlitz Virtual Classroom (BVC) for a couple of years before I was Lead Instructor – Recruitment and Training at BVC.

Teaching approach
Maybe you do not speak one word of Norwegian. Maybe you just want to practice speaking, or need grammar corrections.
Lessons are customized to fit the student’s need, with the reason why they want to learn Norwegian in mind: For work, daily life etc.
My teaching approach is “learning by speaking”. Speaking rather than cramming grammar and vocabulary from a book. We may also need material to work with. Depending on student’s need, this material could be the same as what is being used for immigrants to Norway.
Lessons
Please have a USB headset with a microphone – or ear pods w/microphone!It gives the best audio experience during the Skype sessions, and it separates the speaker from the microphone. It is important that I can hear your pronunciation clearly.
The first time we meet, I will find out on which level your Norwegian is.We will talk about your reasons for learning the language, your learning preferences, the approach to take, and which material to use if any.
Before the first lesson, and regardless of which level you are on, I do not expect anything more than a new student eager to learn my language!

Hello, my name is Rebecca Rygaard.
Recently graduated as a teacher of Danish and English for the primary and lower secondary schools in Denmark, according to the Bachelor's Degree Program in Education, from University College Copenhagen.

I am born and raised in Denmark, and am a native speaker of Danish.

In my teaching I use a communicative approach, focused on having us communicate with each other and produce language to learn it. We will learn both from "input" (what we hear, read) and "output" (what we say, write).

This communicative approach will be focused on "real life" and authentic situations - that means that I'll actually base the teaching on my students lives. I.e. we could be talking about what has brought you to want to learn Danish. There will be authentic language only in this class - not language about hypothetical situations, that you might not ever need.

As part of this method, we'll be using task-based learning - you'll often learn the language through "tasks" in my class, with the point that you'll have to use communication, in cooperation with your peers (or me) to solve them. It's a lot of fun, I guarantee.

You will also be learning about the Danish culture, as I believe culture and language go together, and one cannot be understood without the other (I very much look forward to introducing you to Danish customs, traditions and food).

I'll be focused on your progress, rather your 'errors', as I don't believe in teaching a language by focusing on student's "mistakes", but on their potential. There is an "interlanguage" that is the language that emerge in between your original language, and the language you're trying to learn. And it is only normal that this language is a bit of a mix, that is ever-evolving.

With me, you'll also have the important advantage that I am both a teacher of English and Danish, and therefore know how the languages correlate.

I've learned about all of these aspects "the communicative approach", "task-based learning", "cultural studies" and "interlanguage" and a "functional view on language learning", as a part of my education, and I know they are all a part of recent research in the field.

I have prepared a lesson plan for beginners - which can both be used for group- and single lessons. But I can also create a specifically crafted lesson plan just for you and your needs/level, or if you already know Danish, but just want to improve it.

I hope we meet, and look forward to helping you learn some Danish :)

    Lithuanian language is one of the Baltic countries languages. Some people are travelling to Lithuania, some of them are working or studying over there. So it's really good to know how to say very simple words, as hello, how are you, good mornng, thank you, you're welcome, where, how and etc. It's necessary because the main language is Lithuanian in that country 

    I am lithuanian and was learning other languages. So I can understand you very well, how do you feel in foreign country without language. You want to say something, ask or express yourself, but you can't. I would like to teach you. I like helping people and I have almost 10 years experience in teaching with different age people from different countries and culturies. I think so, that we will spent very good time. Don't worry about nothing. The best thing is your desire. We have don't forget just be patiece. When we are sowing, we think about future, because in few months we can see results of our work. That helps us work little by little.

    I would like to offer you lessons for beggners. In these lessons you will learn how to pronounce words, how to read. Also you will learn basic words and phrases and how to talk with another person in dialogue.

I am an experienced and  teaching-passionate language professional offering tailor-made Croatian (all levels),  General English (Elementary, Beginner's, Intermediate & Upper-intermediate level) and Russian (Elementary & Intermediate level) Conversation lessons as well as Business English.
The lessons are structured according to student's needs with a variety of interesting topics.  A range of different teaching materials is used.  I tend to apply mostly visual aids as, according to my experience, they help students most in memorising new words and language structures. 
During the lessons we are focusing on further development of communication skills but we are also exploring vocabulary, grammar and culture. We read and discuss various texts, analyze grammatical issues, listen to conversations and songs, play games and quizzes and more than anything, we TALK!  That makes conversation lessons always interesting, useful and likeable.

I am a TESOL certified. I have taught many students English and German for beginners in my home country for the past few years. I was an intern at one of the best law firms in Zimbabwe for two years. My passion in English teaching was derived at a young age in school . I was the most fluent, therefore I taught other students of my level and below who had difficulties. They understood my interpretations and explanations. This made me a competent tutor who possesses a mastery of English. I believe that the best way of tutoring is to make sure that both the student and tutor reach an equal level of understanding using a friendly platform. A tutor should be more of a friend in order to understand the student's perspective. I believe that a tutor should be polite in order to be accessed. Being approachable in this case is understanding that English is not the student's native language, therefore the tutor should expect that the student will ask a lot of questions. The best tutors are welcoming and easy to approach .A good English tutor should have the ability to build caring relationships with students. In teaching, knowledge about the Subject matter is not enough. Mostly, learning would be impossible if the student is not comfortable during the lesson. If a student feels that a tutor cares for them, he/she will probably perform better because he/she can feel the support that a Tutor is willing to give them. Great tutors not only care about their job but also the welfare of a student. A charismatic tutor must be respectful. In some circumstances, a tutor will have multilingual classes wherein a student is from a different country. In that case a charismatic tutor must be sensitive to cultural differences and traditions of their student. A student should feel safe and welcomed. Most importantly, a great tutor is passionate. The most important value an English tutor should have is passion. A tutor faces Students everyday having different cultures and styles of learning. That is the reason why tutors should be passionate. This happens when tutors think teaching is not only a job for a living, it is also living for the job.
