I am a TESOL certified. I have taught many students English and German for beginners in my home country for the past few years. I was an intern at one of the best law firms in Zimbabwe for two years. My passion in English teaching was derived at a young age in school . I was the most fluent, therefore I taught other students of my level and below who had difficulties. They understood my interpretations and explanations. This made me a competent tutor who possesses a mastery of English. I believe that the best way of tutoring is to make sure that both the student and tutor reach an equal level of understanding using a friendly platform. A tutor should be more of a friend in order to understand the student's perspective. I believe that a tutor should be polite in order to be accessed. Being approachable in this case is understanding that English is not the student's native language, therefore the tutor should expect that the student will ask a lot of questions. The best tutors are welcoming and easy to approach .A good English tutor should have the ability to build caring relationships with students. In teaching, knowledge about the Subject matter is not enough. Mostly, learning would be impossible if the student is not comfortable during the lesson. If a student feels that a tutor cares for them, he/she will probably perform better because he/she can feel the support that a Tutor is willing to give them. Great tutors not only care about their job but also the welfare of a student. A charismatic tutor must be respectful. In some circumstances, a tutor will have multilingual classes wherein a student is from a different country. In that case a charismatic tutor must be sensitive to cultural differences and traditions of their student. A student should feel safe and welcomed. Most importantly, a great tutor is passionate. The most important value an English tutor should have is passion. A tutor faces Students everyday having different cultures and styles of learning. That is the reason why tutors should be passionate. This happens when tutors think teaching is not only a job for a living, it is also living for the job. My attitude reflects all the character traits mentioned above and many other qualities that make me your best tutor!

I am French living in Lisbon in Portugal. I have lived in different countries such as England, the United States and India. It gave me some experience of learning a foreign language and teaching it.
I am passionate about different cultures and try to share my love for French culture with you in a lively way.
I adapt to the needs of the students, whether to improve their oral, written, prepare for an exam or a job interview. I prioritize the conversation to allow the student to "unblock" and have fun speaking the language. I write down the vocabulary and grammar that the student lacks to express himself.
Learning a foreign language is, in my view, above all through cultural curiosity. We want to learn a language because we want to live in the country, travel there or get to know it better. We feel attracted. It is its Culture that motivates us in our learning: music, film, text, literature, way of being and cultural differences forming "another world". This means that learning is not just about learning a list of words and grammar lessons, as is taught too often in school. Practice again and again through conversation, books, music, movies and above all the pleasure of speaking and listening.

I adapt the student's personal work according to their available time and their objective (conversation, deadline for an exam, scheduled trip, etc.).
