I am a native Dane and I've been working as a Danish teacher since 2018. I have a Master's degree in Danish language and literature from the... University of Southern Denmark, and I am trained in second-language learning and acquisition from Copenhagen University. My lessons can focus on different aspects depending on your current situation and goals. I work regularly with the following cases. - I prepare students for official exams such as Prøve i Dansk 3 and Studieprøven, both beginners and students who have a foundation—sometimes with uneven skills that require to focus on specific areas. - Students who are planning to work in Denmark, or who are already here and want to improve communication in their workplace and social life, often want to improve their pronunciation and conversational skills. Alongside the purely linguistic aspects, I introduce topics about Danish culture, history, and customs, which are also important for communication. - I have experience helping with grammar, expanding general or domain-specific vocabulary, and improving the student's writing skills and style, both in academic and business contexts. I provide targeted feedback when I correct texts. - I also have experience teaching children and teenagers, both living abroad and those who have moved to Denmark recently. I have built different approaches and materials for different age groups. With children, I often use an interactive whiteboard—it's browser-based, so you don't need to install anything. We can discuss your current situation, goals and timeframe during our first lesson, and from there build a customized study plan. As a person, I am very patient, and it is important for me that you feel comfortable showing me your difficulties and giving your opinion. The lessons can take place on Skype, Teams, Zoom, or Hangouts. I have built a variety of teaching materials such as slides, grammar descriptions, exercises and texts of varying difficulty, flashcards and quizzes. I can also send short lecture notes after each class if the student requests them. Hello and welcome! I would love to help you improving your Danish speaking skills. I have been a teacher at coLanguage for more than three years... now, but as a teacher in `the language music´ I have been working for several years. I have 25 years of experience as an organist in a church. I teach choirs for children and adults and I have been a piano teacher. I feel that my experience in teaching choirs and pianostudents and playing music is very fruitful for the way that I teach Danish. I have followed an intensive online Dutch course and as a student I think it works out very well. You are making progress very fast, because you speak a lot, and the teacher can take your speaking level as your starting point. I look forward getting to know you in a free trial lesson and to hear something about your wishes and your goals for studying the Danish language! Best regards, Tove Read more

Hi! My name is Kirstine. I'm an experienced English and Danish teacher. I teach at a primary and lower secondary school. (Students aged 6-16).... But I'm also very interested in teaching both younger and older/adult students. I'm an international coordinator at my school, and very used to working with students and teachers from all around the world. I'm used to online teaching. I love having contact with people from all around the world. I used to travel a lot, but now I love to meet people from other countries either at my AirBnB or through online sessions. I love to hear from you and teach you either Danish or English. I have an informal way of teaching, and will work together with you to make the sessions how you prefer them. We can use a textbook if you prefer, but I also like to read the news, small books, look at online videos and more, and to discuss and learn from that. Read more

I’ve always had a penchant for language because it has both technical and creative facets: from grammar to the cultural and social aspects.... This is why started working in Computational Linguistics and also why I'm now also teaching languages. I currently teach three languages: - Spanish: My native language. - English: I have extensive experience with academic English. I have published in international journals, I have taught undergrad and graduate courses in English, and I have supervised and co-supervised Master and Ph.D students. - Danish: I have lived in Denmark for more than 10 years. If you have a particular goal and timeframe in mind, I can create a study plan for you. My lessons usually contain the following parts, but they will be flexible depending on the situation. - Correcting the exercises I gave you in the last lesson, while I give you feedback. - Answering any questions you may have, either about the exercises or about the theory you have read. - We can also practice conversation covering aspects of living in a Spanish-speaking country as a foreigner, such as cultural differences. If you are interested in history, customs and social issues in Spain, I can easily create conversations about these topics. - We’ll agree on what theory you can read next and which new exercises you can complete before the next lesson. If you have trouble with a specific area, be it pronunciation, grammar, or semantics, we will make a special focus on it. I follow some books, but I also create materials of my own when I feel like it’s needed. If you are preparing for a DELE exam, we can use existing examples as exercises. If you book a lesson with me, we can discuss your current situation, your goals, and how I can help you reach them. Read more
