I'm Poppy, 21, from England and I'm currently studying English, French and Spanish at Uni in Strasbourg, France.
I studied up until the age of 18 in Britain and am now living a bilingual life here in France, so I know the obstacles when it comes to learning a foreign language.

I have a qualification in teaching English (TEFL) and have been teaching for the past 6 months on another English-learning website called Cambly where i have met people from all over the world, some total beginners in English and others close to fluency.

I like students to be at ease during classes and the best way to do that, in my opinion, is to build a friendship and speak about the topics which interest them most, but of course in English! I am very flexible and sometimes read news articles with students which lead to discussions or Youtube videos from their favourite youtuber. The most important thing is to inspire the student to start speaking- once he/she does, we can start correcting their mistakes.

I also like to show students why being bilingual is such an amazing skill to have and how it can change your life prospects.

As a language teacher and a language learner myself, I am aware that everyone learns at their own pace and everyone learns in different ways. Therefore, addressing the needs of each student individually is crucial to my teaching approach. It is true that language learning takes time and commitment but online teaching has transformed the learning experience in such a way that, with the help of developing technology and the internet, you can accelerate your learning much faster than you can with traditional teaching methods. Some of the key elements in accelerated learning that I adapt in my teaching methodology are as follows:

Flipped Classroom:
In contrast to conventional teaching methods, students are provided with class material prior to the lesson. This allows them to practice what they have learnt during classroom discussions and activities.

Task-based Approach:
Traditional teaching approaches focused on the content that teachers thought their students needed to learn. This included a lot of emphasis on grammar. Task-based approach, on the other hand, focuses on the skills that the students want to acquire. The teacher no longer focuses on ‘what’ is taught but ‘why’ it is taught.

Lexical Syllabus:
In line with the task-based approach, lexical syllabus focuses on the vocabulary that the student needs to learn in order to perform a specific task. For example, the word ‘asset’ is essential for a business student, similarly, ‘biopsy’ is an essential word for a medical student.

My approach allows me to connect with students' previous learning experiences and knowledge and increase their reflection between what they learn and their life experiences. Overall, it is a student-centered, interactive, collaborative and communicative approach.

I'm a French teacher since 5 years, all levels : from A1 till C2. I usually teach in French Institute (Senegal, Morocco). I'm actually expatriate with my family in Senegal :-)

My name is Zoe and I’m a native English speaker from the UK!

I speak four other languages though so I understand how nerve-racking it can be to study a new language and I understand what the typical errors are so I will support you when you make mistakes and I will actually encourage you to make mistakes because ultimately that's how we learn!
I believe I’m an incredibly communicative, open teacher, having taught in 4 countries. Establishing trust and a channel of communication in the classroom adds more life and substance to our lessons where all student needs are met. I like to think of myself as sympathetic, and because I’d been in classes where I was far from challenged and excited, I take having fun in the classroom very seriously (paradoxical pun intended). I’m curious, inquisitive, and constantly eager to

was a tad too small for me, so I’ve always had the urge to travel the
world. So far, I’ve taught in Mexico, Italy, Egypt, and Spain – where I
currently reside. I have many creative hobbies such as reading,
drawing, and photography, and a very special fascination with
crime documentaries (perhaps I was a lawyer in my past life).

I embarked on my EFL journey 4 years ago, and I decided it was the
job for me. It all started in the South of Italy where I got the chance
to teach both adults and children and knew I’d found my dream
job. After a while, I knew I had to take my wanderlust and love for
education elsewhere, so I hopped on a plane to Mexico and took my
teaching a step further. In 2018, I landed a job with the British
Council in Egypt, where I took my classroom experience and
married it with pedagogy by doing vocational courses such as the
TYLEC and DELTA M1. Aside from these courses, I did IELTS
Teacher training, and Teaching English in the Early Years
Classroom training. By the time I got to Spain, my thirst for
knowledge was yet to be quenched, so I applied for DELTA M3 to
keep myself intellectually stimulated during quarantine.

I offer personalized English classes which are really suitable to the student's level and motivations.
I work equally the four main skills of the language throughout authentic materials such as songs, videos, movies or short films and even magazines and newspapers articles. I also combine my classes with course books whose levels are challenging enough to help the students to make an accurate and confident learning progress.
I offer grammar and vocabulary exercises and activities to help the students to enrich the language's development.
My classes are online within reduced groups of students to maintain classes well balanced and entertaining enough. I also offer individual lessons.
The duration of the classes are ideally 60 minutes long.

My name is Karolin and since the beginning of 2017, while I was still living in Chile, I've been giving online classes. I really enjoy my work and it gives me the privilage to get to know people from all around the world, which is amazing.

Both in English and in German, I teach classes for beginners and advanced students. I speak Spanish fluently, but as I lived in Chile for around 5 years, both my pronounciation and my choice of words are influenced by that. I learned and teach the european Spanish but only for beginners (A1/A2). But if you don't mind the chilenean influence, I do teach to a higher level as well.
