My name is Eleni and I’m a certified Greek language tutor and a native speaker of Greek, living in Hania, Crete. I'm also a certified English teacher and provide English language lessons to all levels and ages.
I'm specialized in teaching a foreign language to students with learning difficulties.
I have experience in teaching Modern Greek to children and adults of various levels, from absolute beginners to advanced students. My teaching depends on my students, their needs, their interests and their level in Greek language.
The materials I use during the learning journey are updated and colorful learning materials – the materials are structured in accordance with the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR). I am Maria. I am a teacher of modern and ancient Greek with 20 years experience. I love teaching people from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds and I strongly believe in online language teaching as a very efficient method of learning. I hold a BSc in History and Archeology and a MA in teaching Modern Greek as a foreign language, both from the University of Athens. I have a strong experience as Exams Assessor on State Exams for the «Certificate of Attainment in Greek». I am currently teaching Modern Greek as a foreign language online at Avenues, The World School in New York, as well as to foreigners living in Athens, such as Embassies members and their families.

In my courses, I emphasize the importance of communication and the practical uses of language. I consider therefore communication as the most suitable approach, because it gives a lot of emphasis on realistic situations making the learner aware of how the language actually works (that does not mean that I don't give the same importance to the grammar rules and the syntax, especially to the advanced levels).

I have a deep appreciation of different learning styles and I am able to apply the corresponding teaching method to keep my students motivated and progressing at the right pace for them.

My name is Alberto and I am 29 years old. I speak Spanish, English, French, German and Italian. As you might have seen, one of my passions is the study of foreign languages. I love learning them, studying them, and keeping permanently in touch with them.

I like to work with spread sheets of grammar and vocabulary to consolidate the grammar basis, but I also like using other ressources, such as films, books, videos, games, songs or articles from the newspaper.

My name is Kilian, I am 29 years old and I am a Spanish guy from Canary Islands.

A year ago I graduated in Spanish Language at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and I also finished the course that accredits me as a DELE examiner for levels B1 and B2 by the Instituto Cervantes. After studying abroad for six months (Czech Republic) I knew that I wanted to dedicate myself to teaching Spanish as a foreign language, so here I am!

Of course, my mother tongue is Spanish, but I also have an intermediate level of English which can be very useful to solve some doubts that may arise during the classes.

So if you want to learn more about Spain, about the fourth most spoken language in the world, and one of the most widely spoken languages in the planet, I look forward to share with you all of my knowledge in our class!

At university I studied translation and interpreting in Spanish, English, Russian and French and have been a language teacher since 2013, which is something I love.

I have lived in France and have British and Spanish family, so speaking several languages is something I do and enjoy every day. I love conversation, grammar, studying new vocabulary and learning about the differences between cultures in order to learn from them.

I have taught privately, in academies, in primary schools and high schools and in companies, so I have experience in many areas and with all ages and levels.

I have prepared students for official Cambridge, Trinity London and Aptis exams, but I have also helped to prepare for exams specific to some university degrees.

I have also prepared students to take the Spanish DELE exam.

I adapt very well to the needs of each student and I make almost all the materials I use and adapt them to the specific situations of each student.
