My name is Giovanna, I am Italian and I live in Rome. I am a foreign language teacher of state secondary school. I teach Italian language and culture at the cultural association "Il Mondo che Vorrei" of my city.
I have a degree in foreign languages ​​and literatures and a degree in education. I have acquired two teaching qualifications and 3 masters, including the last one in Italian language and culture for foreigners.
I have over ten years of experience in teaching to children, teens and adults.
Why choosing me? Because my method works. I don't use a traditional approach: I start with a theme topic and then I go into detail on language functions and skills. I prepare students for language certifications at all levels. I don't just teach the language: my lessons will be a language journey through a full immersion of art, music, cuisine, fashion, tourism and culture at 360 °, all Made in Italy. I have always enjoyed working with languages, culture, education and people. I am originally from Venezuela so Spanish is my native language and I have been living in Belgium since 2009. My degree as Master in Industrial Sciences is equated here.
I am a teacher and since 2018 I have been teaching Spanish to adults. I am able to boost the self-confidence of my students. My lessons are for absolute beginners (direction level 1 and 2), intermediate (direction level 3) and advanced (direction level 4). Conversation is also possible. I focus on the four most important skills: speaking skills; listening skills, writing skills and reading skills. And also on grammar and spontaneous communication.
Teaching and language are just my passion and I would like to teach it to others. I work with adults and seniors, but know that every person learns in a different way. Pleasure in learning and daring to communicate are paramount to me: We use Spanish book and workbook; audio material (Spanish songs), card games and more!

I'm Poppy, 21, from England and I'm currently studying English, French and Spanish at Uni in Strasbourg, France.
I studied up until the age of 18 in Britain and am now living a bilingual life here in France, so I know the obstacles when it comes to learning a foreign language.

I have a qualification in teaching English (TEFL) and have been teaching for the past 6 months on another English-learning website called Cambly where i have met people from all over the world, some total beginners in English and others close to fluency.

I like students to be at ease during classes and the best way to do that, in my opinion, is to build a friendship and speak about the topics which interest them most, but of course in English! I am very flexible and sometimes read news articles with students which lead to discussions or Youtube videos from their favourite youtuber. The most important thing is to inspire the student to start speaking- once he/she does, we can start correcting their mistakes.

I also like to show students why being bilingual is such an amazing skill to have and how it can change your life prospects.

How will I teach you italian? By playing!
I know that studying a language by reading a grammar book and mechanically completing the attached exercises can be boring and above all does not train your mind.

Learning instead should be a pleasure, so I like to use small funny videos, songs, puzzles and so on.
I also prefer the inductive method so that you can understand how Italian works on your own and then fix the grammatical rules together.
That way you’ll learn Italian without even realizing it!
