After earning a Master Degree in Foreign Languages and Literature (English and Spanish) with 110/110 cum laude in 1991 at the University of... Salento, thanks to my previous work experience, also in international working environments, I worked in Sales & Marketing, Customer Service and HR Recruitment and Training. Both as a Customer Service Manager and as a Marketing Manager, I managed the business analysis and the implementation of marketing strategies, also focusing on sales and customer retentions. My skills helped increase the performance of all business departments during my 30 years of professional career. I also took care of the administrative tasks and team building/leader. I currently teach English, Spanish and Italian at all levels: high school students, university students and companies, as well as preparing for English language certification exams for the languages English, Spanish and Italian, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The mode of the lesson takes place online through the learning platforms Google, Microsoft Teams and Zoom. My teaching methodology is called "Communicative (active) language learning". With this methodology what I look for is the greatest possible... native communicative similarity in different levels of production and comprehension of the foreign language with a clear and solid component of grammar and vocabulary, very important elements when learning a second language. I look for a stable and lasting relationship between what I teach and the student's needs in their immediate environment, that is to say that what I learn really contributes to their learning. My classes are dynamic, conversational and productive (70% students and 30% teacher). I am a primary & secondary Spanish school teacher (from Spain), I taught Spanish Language and Literature in England for more than 20... years. In that country I trained as a MFL (Modern Foreign Language) I developed prophessionally attending university courses, such as Teaching MFL in The National Curruculum (Brunel University) and DTLLS (Diploma Teaching in the Lifelonglearning Sector, Christ Church University). My teaching methodoly is a mixture of classical (Communicative Approach) and more modern styles (Task Based Method) aiming always to enable students to communicate in the target language, using the 4 skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing). I tend to put emphasis on practising speaking, as this is something that students cannot assess by themselves as easily as the other 3 skills. I am very creative, and use 'realia' as much as possible, this means authentic materials, from reading information in a packet of ceral to films, songs, podcasts, poems, novels, newspapers articles... depending on the students' level.
