The resources I use are all free and online, so you won't have to go out and buy any textbooks. Reliability = me. My approach is based on "the Active Learning Process”, which consists of skipping the traditional grammar focused lessons that are often unsuccessful and off putting, and avoiding literal translations between the two languages which slow down learning. This learning scheme consists of associating the new words directly to thoughts instead of translating to the corresponding native language idiom: the word in your new language will be stored in your brain as a proper entity, and not as a translation of something else. I do love grammar but I prefer working with images, feelings, and actions instead of spending ages filing an exercise book, and our goal is to help our students to express their thoughts and feelings spontaneously, without any mental translation process.
