I am a primary & secondary Spanish school teacher (from Spain),
I taught Spanish Language and Literature in England for more than 20 years. In
that country I trained as a MFL (Modern Foreign Language) I developed prophessionally attending university courses, such as Teaching MFL in The National Curruculum (Brunel University) and DTLLS (Diploma Teaching in the Lifelonglearning Sector, Christ Church University).
My teaching methodoly is a mixture of classical (Communicative Approach) and more modern styles (Task Based Method) aiming always to enable students to communicate in the target language, using the 4 skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing). I tend to put emphasis on practising speaking, as this is something that students cannot assess by themselves as easily as the other 3 skills.
I am very creative, and use 'realia' as much as possible, this means authentic materials, from reading information in a packet of ceral to films, songs, podcasts, poems, novels, newspapers articles... depending on the students' level.
