Learning a language can be hard. Not being able to express yourself can be frustrating and embarrassing. That's why you need a teacher who will... help boost your confidence, and will support you to reach your language goals, in the way that you learn best. I am a fully qualified UK teacher with a Psychology degree and TEFL qualification, and I speak near fluent French, some German and I am learning Polish. I know exactly how it feels to learn a language from the beginning. There are so many aspects to consider - pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, comprehension, reading, spelling and punctuation, idioms and so on. For the last 8 months I have been teaching English to a Polish student, and she has been teaching me Polish. I have used Duolingo and Memrise online to help me learn vocabulary, but the way to learn fastest is to speak the language with a native speaker, just in the same way children learn. I offer 1 hour English lessons, currently only on Tuesdays, and the first lesson is free. Whether you want to learn English from the beginning, improve your English or prepare for exams, I would love to teach you!

Hi there, My name is Aine and I am a native English speaker from Ireland. I am 25 years old and I have been teaching for over 3 years. I have... a Bachelors Degree in Education and I am certified TEFL English language teacher. I have an abundance of classroom experience with planning and tailoring lessons to suit my students needs and to help them reach their English language goals. I combine oral and aural along with written English in each lesson to ensure that there is variation but that students learning is also heightened. I make classes fun, interactive and creative and believe that the more students participate and engage in a lesson the more they are motivated to learn and will enjoy the learning process. I have no doubt that my lessons will be personal, creative and interactive but above all that they will help you achieve your personal and academic goals. I hope to see you soon, Aine.

I am a current Auxiliar de Conversacion (Language Assistant) for 2 schools in Almeria, Spain (CEIP San Bernardo & IES El Alquian). I have a... degree in Psychology, Criminal Justice and Community Development. I have over 10 years of teaching experience through volunteer work and paid work. My studies have revolved around child development, the brain and law. I am looking for students of all ages who have a willingness to learn a new language. I believe the best way to learn a new language is not only through grammar and proper sentencing structure, but, also through hands on activities and everyday conversation. The methods I would use are grammar, sentence structure, proper enunciation / pronunciation of words, games, activities, videos, music, and movies to help my students learn English. I believe in creating a fun and enjoyable environment in which the students are able to dictate part of the lesson plan. It will be boring if you do not incorporate what your students enjoy, and more beneficial if they learn a language through things that interest them. I am looking for students of all ages as it is never too late to learn a new language!

Hi, I have been teaching for over 15 years, I started while I was living in the south of France, and my French is now close to perfect, I have... taught in many different countries, and in lots of different situations, in the past I have had the chance to teach online and this previous experience was of use recently when during the current crisis I had to put all of my classes online, I have recently invested in both high speed internet and a brand new MacBook Pro in order to avoid as many technical issues as possible. I feel that my own experience as a language learner has gifted me with the understanding that it must be the student who sits at the centre of the online learning process, that the teacher adapts and that adaptation makes the path more interesting for both teacher and student. As language is not an inflexible piece of stone and should grow, be focused, fun and allow us to share and advance, each with his or her own level, pace and reason.

Hello! I'm a teacher and a native English speaker from Vancouver, Canada. I graduated with distinction from the University of British Columbia,... with a Bachelor's Degree in philosophy. I've taught English, literature, chess, and many other subjects, to age groups ranging from 5-10, to university students, to 50 and up. I am available for conversational classes, as well as much more particular kinds - exam preparation, advanced English grammar, essay assistance, or anything else under the sun. I know from my own experience with learning Spanish how difficult it can be to learn another language - and how frustrating it can be when native speakers can never tell you "why" something in the language is the way it is! ("Well, that's just how it is", they'll tell you...) So, I try to take my experiences learning a second language into account when I teach English, and understand exactly why something may or may not be difficult for a student. I'm currently living in Vancouver, but am looking forward to getting back to Europe when possible! Thank you, Noam

I currently have fifteen-years of teaching experience, working in the public, private, and corporate sectors, teaching an array of many... different learners, including, children, young adults, and mature students. Creating interesting and engaging lessons that allow learners to reach their potential, and express themselves openly and increase self-confidence is an important element of my teaching approach. I studied art at Edinburgh College of Art, gaining an MFA in 2007. In later in 2010 I went onto study to become an English language teacher at The London Teacher Training College. Additional strengths include: course planning, setting clear and achievable objectives, time management, and selecting the appropriate learning materials and resources. I have been described by my students as being, open, friendly and approachable, a good communicator with patience and empathy. In addition to my teaching experience, I have been an entrepreneur, a cultural integration mentor, and worked as a professional artist. Theses experiences demand the very highest levels of collaboration with others. Problem solving, effective communication, planning, and attention to detail are valuable skills from my work outside of teaching that I bring to the learning environment.
