Hello! I'm a teacher and a native English speaker from Vancouver, Canada. I graduated with distinction from the University of British Columbia, with a Bachelor's Degree in philosophy. I've taught English, literature, chess, and many other subjects, to age groups ranging from 5-10, to university students, to 50 and up.
I am available for conversational classes, as well as much more particular kinds - exam preparation, advanced English grammar, essay assistance, or anything else under the sun.
I know from my own experience with learning Spanish how difficult it can be to learn another language - and how frustrating it can be when native speakers can never tell you "why" something in the language is the way it is! ("Well, that's just how it is", they'll tell you...) So, I try to take my experiences learning a second language into account when I teach English, and understand exactly why something may or may not be difficult for a student.
I'm currently living in Vancouver, but am looking forward to getting back to Europe when possible!
Thank you,
Noam
