About me
Γεια σας ! My name is Apostolaki Eva and I am a native Greek language tutor. I was born and raised in Greece, on the beautiful island of Crete, at Hania.
Since 2013 I have been teaching Greek to children and adults both native and non-native.
I work as a teacher in a private primary school, where in addition to my class with native students, I am a supervisor and teacher for the Greek department for foreign students.
I find the relationship between student and teacher to be particularly important. Teaching is my love and that is why I spend most of my time there. In my free time I like to keep up-to-date, exercise and meet friends. Whereas, when I have some days off, I make sure to use it on a trip.

Qualifications & Experience
I have studied in the Department of Primary Education of the University of Ioannina. Then I got my Masters Degree in Teaching Greek as a Second / Foreign Language from the University of Nicosia and I also received training from UNICEF about teaching Greek to people with multicultural backgrounds. I have also received specialization in Special Education from the Kapodistrian University of Athens and I am a certified life coach from the University of the Aegean.
Since I got my degree, I have been teaching private lessons to primary students and Greek language to both children and adults. Now, in addition to my classroom as a teacher in a private school in my city, I am a supervisor and teacher for delivering school lessons to students of all levels who learn Greek as a Second / Foreign Language. At the same time, I teach Greek online. I have worked with students from all levels of learning Greek and of all ages from 4 years old and up and this has given me a complete view of how to teach Greek.
Teaching Approach
Course design is based on the communicative approach of the language. This means that the aim of our courses is not only the knowledge of the Greek language system but mainly the ability to use it, according to any communicative situation. The active interactiveness of my students during the lesson is of primary importance for me to achieve this goal.
Of course every student is unique. So the methods and strategies I apply to the courses are always in harmony with him / her.
Well-organized lessons work on all four skills: Understanding and Producing Speech, Understanding and Producing Writing. I use modern, attractive, interesting material and always adapted to the level and needs of my students.
Also, if you already speak some Greek and do not know what level you are in, there are tests that can help us figure it out.
When you learn Greek you can make your dreams about Greece a reality. You can communicate comfortably for new opportunities at whatever level of life you desire...to communicate with a Greek spouse, to get a better insight to your own culture or profession, or to travel, cook, read, learn or have fun, learning Greek will never be something you will regret doing. My name is Kilian, I am 29 years old and I am a Spanish guy from Canary Islands.
A year ago I graduated in Spanish Language at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and I also finished the course that accredits me as a DELE examiner for levels B1 and B2 by the Instituto Cervantes.
