I started teaching students myself and made it my job last year. I am registered with the Chamber of Commerce and teach about 15 to 20 hours a week. I have experience in guiding beginners, high school students, but also advanced expats. Most students find me via via, but I would also like to use the colanguage platform to expand my work.

OnlineIf a child cannot learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach they way learn.
As a rule self description is slightly challenge, because we tend to emphasize only our most positive traits. In the light of such meaning of description , I would name my strong aspiration to do what I love. What I love ? I am fond of reading new useful information which built up and complete my knowledgement, for that reason my interests are diverse and they are related closely and intimately with the scope of languages, field of philosophy and getting to know different cultures. I am graduated in the field of Philosophy teacher, but my interests are not limited. I would describe myself as persistent, patient, devoted , confident, flexible and diplomatic person who can deal with different type of people and situations.
Because I love my hobbies I want to make them my job and work. I consider myself as dedicated to my goals,I have no lack of persistance , I strive to take the life from his positive sides, I am only a mere observer of every situation with no judgement of it. I have a little child who inspires me most and I honestly think that my child makes me natural educator who can correctly elicit the potencial of a child.
My education was completely successful , there I have learnt to еxpress myself freely in front of a public, I have developed ability to think critically in decision making. I am prepared to build my unique and right approach to every problem which might arise during the process of our studying. I adapt to the unknown and unfamiliar easily, I have developed flexibility , because I have lived in China 1 year.
My methodology is Individual attention to each student because every student is unique in their own way. I try to understand their pro 's and con's and teach each uniquely

Hello,
I'm offering informal Dutch and English lessons based on conversation and will conduct my lessons for as much as possible in the target language.
I use text, weblinks to tv shows to get us talking and am a fan of the TPRS method.
There's a lot of information on that method online. Basically it's getting to know the structure Dutch and English through simple conversation. (questions about 1 or several sentences on any topic)
I have some useful weblinks to tv shows in Dutch (with subtitles in Dutch) adjusted to your level and the shows are entertaining too. :-)
We can discuss the shows preferably in the target language of course.
I can explain some grammar too if needed and have articles and books ready to read from. This again will be adjusted to your proficiency. But of course if you'd like to focus on a topic which has your interest that is possible as well. This makes it more personal and more fun.
I've been teaching for about a year now on another platform to students from all over the world and really enjoy having the experience again as I used to be a vocal coach back in the days when I attended conservatory in the Netherlands.
I hope to see you here on Co language. :-)

I am a certified English/Arabic/French/Italian teacher with two degrees in Interpreting and Translation and three Cambridge Teacher Trainings (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA). I am currently enrolled in the DELTA program (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) which is the highest English teacher training worldwide recognized.
At the beginning of my classes, it is important to evaluate students' needs and aims and in order to do that, I will send a "needs' analysis" so that I can better help you with your learning.
I mainly use Zoom as teaching platform because I think it is much better than Skype or Microsoft Teams because it allows a much better student-teacher interaction pattern.
According to Steven Krashen, one of the most renown linguist and education experts: "The best methods are therefore those that supply 'comprehensible input' in low anxiety situations, containing messages that students really want to hear. These methods do not force early production in the second language but allow students to produce when they are 'ready', recognizing that improvement comes from supplying communicative and comprehensible input, and not from forcing and correcting production".
Personally, I think that this is the right approach to teach because as a teacher we need to create a safe environment for our students, lower their effective filter so they can perform at their best potential.
I realized after years of experience as a languages student and teacher that several countries not just my country (Italy) have been using a teaching methodology which is obsolete and not suitable for students' needs and aims. The 80-20 rule is the sure way to achieve this goal. Can you guess which part is the student's one? The 80 of course, you are the one who needs to improve, to talk and learn. We as teachers we are doing whatever it takes to guide you through the process.
During my experience as a teacher I worked with teenagers, university students and adults. I had the pleasure to teach Arabic to university students who needed further assistance for their exams. I taught to adults’ businessmen who needed to learn the basis of Arabic because of their work. I taught French and English to teenagers and university students that needed further help with their exams or simply to improve their listening and speaking skills. I have also experience in teaching Business English.

Hello,
I was born in İstanbul and I lived there. I hold a bachelor degree in cinema and television at İstanbul Şehir University. During my university years, my stories have been published in major Turkish literary magazines. After my graduation I have been specializing in children's book illustration and literature. I founded children's book publishing house in Turkey. The name is Yıldız Tozu Publishing and my books were released. I worked as an editor-in-chief in the company. I was finding books in the world and I was publishing them in Turkish. I am practically and professionally working on Turkish language and literature. Later on, I moved France to continue my education and works about literature and art. Currently, I am learning french.
I have experience in teaching Turkish in years. Furthermore, I speak English very well (TOEFL B2) and French (B1) it is advantage for students who are beginners.
Here my methodology when I teach Turkish:
I will use the grammar books and my presentations, time to time.
For speaking practice: illustrations, daily conversations
For listening practice: Turkish songs, movies, series
For reading practice: news and articles about Turkey (for advance students), stories, picture books (for intermediate students), texts from language books (for beginner and intermediate students.)
If students need to focus specific area like writing etc. I am designing my class according to that.
In addition, it is because I am using broad material about Turkish media, you will be familiar the culture and sociology of Turkey.
I like to do lesson in creative and in an organized way; therefore, I believe you will learn fast and you will enjoy learning Turkish with me!
I hope to see you in my class :)

Esra is an excellent teacher. She is very enthusiastic, patient, works very creatively and responds very well to individual learning needs. Her communication skills are excellent and she has a wide range of interests and knowledge as well as excellent creative skills which she uses to make the classes interesting and stimulating. I am enjoying learning about Turkish culture, food, and many aspects of life which brings the lessons to life. Esra's English is excellent which is very beneficial for an almost beginner in Turkish. I would highly recommend Esra as a Turkish teacher, especially if you want to develop everyday conversational skills and engage with books, films, ideas etc. I am really enjoying my Turkish classes with Esra as they are both relaxed and inspiring

My experience with Melanie has been very positive, Melanie is a very qualified teacher and you can tell that from the beginning: very professional, very good methodology, diversity in material, etc. A real one on one experience as she focused together with learning of language in identification and correction of student weaknesses. My kid is engaged with her classes as he says are useful and fun, his progress in learning German has been noticed by all. I also like her flexibility to have classes during the weekends, that is a great emergency door. I am happy !! Highly recommended!!!

I am French living in Lisbon in Portugal. I have lived in different countries such as England, the United States and India. It gave me some experience of learning a foreign language and teaching it.
I am passionate about different cultures and try to share my love for French culture with you in a lively way.
I adapt to the needs of the students, whether to improve their oral, written, prepare for an exam or a job interview. I prioritize the conversation to allow the student to "unblock" and have fun speaking the language. I write down the vocabulary and grammar that the student lacks to express himself.
Learning a foreign language is, in my view, above all through cultural curiosity. We want to learn a language because we want to live in the country, travel there or get to know it better. We feel attracted. It is its Culture that motivates us in our learning: music, film, text, literature, way of being and cultural differences forming "another world". This means that learning is not just about learning a list of words and grammar lessons, as is taught too often in school. Practice again and again through conversation, books, music, movies and above all the pleasure of speaking and listening.
I adapt the student's personal work according to their available time and their objective (conversation, deadline for an exam, scheduled trip, etc.).
I am at your disposal for any further information.
See you soon,

Hello,
My name is Natalia and I am a TEFL certified school teacher from Russia. I am passionate about learning foreign languages, as well as teaching them. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Vladimir State University with a specialization in teaching German and English languages. I taught ESL to children aged from 4 to 17 years old. My experience gives me a good vision of the proper methods in teaching. Passing my 168-hour TEFL course helped me to improve my classroom management skills.
I am convinced that learning foreign languages should be exciting. For this reason, in my lessons I use visual materials, handouts. I pay attention to the student's interest. Therefore, I use various interactive tasks, such as texts on current topics, games, and even songs. This makes the learning process more enjoyable.
