I am Marcella, a native Italian who has moved to Switzerland to study.
I have a degree in Ancient Literature with a focus on archaeology, and in Italy I am qualified to teach literary classes.
I am doing a PhD in archaeology at the University of Bern, where I teach every two semesters.
I prefer to teach one-to-one or in pairs in order to make the most of my time and focus on people's needs. I prepare targeted courses, which is why I offer a trial lesson to establish the future course of the lessons.
Lessons are usually always mixed, conversation and grammar using audio, video and text material. Depending on the speed at which the student intends to progress, homework assignments are structured.

    Lithuanian language is one of the Baltic countries languages. Some people are travelling to Lithuania, some of them are working or studying over there. So it's really good to know how to say very simple words, as hello, how are you, good mornng, thank you, you're welcome, where, how and etc. It's necessary because the main language is Lithuanian in that country 

    I am lithuanian and was learning other languages. So I can understand you very well, how do you feel in foreign country without language. You want to say something, ask or express yourself, but you can't. I would like to teach you. I like helping people and I have almost 10 years experience in teaching with different age people from different countries and culturies. I think so, that we will spent very good time. Don't worry about nothing. The best thing is your desire. We have don't forget just be patiece. When we are sowing, we think about future, because in few months we can see results of our work. That helps us work little by little.

    I would like to offer you lessons for beggners. In these lessons you will learn how to pronounce words, how to read. Also you will learn basic words and phrases and how to talk with another person in dialogue.

I was born in Norway in 1958. Since 1999, I have been living in Madeira, Portugal.My interests are many; music, photography, art, animals, nature, gardening, healthy food, teaching….
Qualifications & Experience
My academic background is in music and pedagogy from the Norwegian State Academy of Music, with some extra from Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, and Norway Inland University of Applied Sciences.
I have many years of experience as a musician, teaching music and musical instruments.
Teaching language is closely related to teaching music.
I am teaching Norwegian as a Foreign Language online at Folkeuniversitetet Øst, Myngel and LTC language solutions, and have been teaching at  Lingu Norge and Learnship as well. I have also been teaching at Berlitz Virtual Classroom (BVC) for a couple of years before I was Lead Instructor – Recruitment and Training at BVC.

Teaching approach
Maybe you do not speak one word of Norwegian. Maybe you just want to practice speaking, or need grammar corrections.
Lessons are customized to fit the student’s need, with the reason why they want to learn Norwegian in mind: For work, daily life etc.
My teaching approach is “learning by speaking”. Speaking rather than cramming grammar and vocabulary from a book. We may also need material to work with. Depending on student’s need, this material could be the same as what is being used for immigrants to Norway.
Lessons
Please have a USB headset with a microphone – or ear pods w/microphone!It gives the best audio experience during the Skype sessions, and it separates the speaker from the microphone. It is important that I can hear your pronunciation clearly.
The first time we meet, I will find out on which level your Norwegian is.We will talk about your reasons for learning the language, your learning preferences, the approach to take, and which material to use if any.
Before the first lesson, and regardless of which level you are on, I do not expect anything more than a new student eager to learn my language!

My lessons are based on conversations. My method is to help you practice the language from the very beginning in spontaneous and direct conversations, using often role plays.

With books, articles, songs, and other interesting and stimulating material I will encourage conversation, develop grammar in a simpler way, and improve pronunciation.

The educational field has always been my passion. Since I was a student in the UK doing my BA degree in English Literature, I started volunteering to teach secondary school students and support them to feel more confident in school. I graduated from Newcastle University (UK) in 2006 doing my first Master's degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL  after getting my CELTA (Cambridge certificate in language teaching) certificate as well from Durham University, UK. I worked as a TOEFL/IELTS teacher and Business English trainer for seven years. I was entitled to a supervisory position as a head of department in a language institute, so I decided to do my MBA at Wales University  to enhance my skills in the planning training materials to teach Business English and building a professional community for teachers.

My education has helped me be part of several international educational institutes like the AMIDEAST in Dubai and Abu Dhabi (UAE), and the Centre of British Teacher (CfBT), EDT in Abu Dhabi and the UNHCR in Lebanon.
 
Moreover, I was part of The Humanitarian Response course that took place at Harvard University where I learnt in depth about topics related to Protection, Emergency and Security Management. 
 
Besides my passion and education I believe my experience relates to this position specifically in several points, I will mention a few below:
 
·       My MA has exposed me to edtech through using CALL (Computer assisted language learning) during my MA and carried out projects related to that.
·       My current experience as an operation manager and QA of Reports at EDT for the ministry of education has enhanced my analytical skills of data collection and analysis. Besides, I led a survey to drive change using data analysis to achieve customer satisfaction at assist.ae.
·       All my roles needed me to create a strong relationship with several stakeholders, build a community of open ideas and solving problems to achieve bigger goals while keeping updated and connected to the educational field.
 
Finally being a teacher for seven years teaching English as a second language paved the way for me to advance into the other roles and relate so closely to teachers and students.

I offer English, Spanish and Italian lessons to both young people and adults. A preparation based on a dynamic and serious learning at the same time, which ranges from grammar, speaking up to literature or cultural contents for the most curious. I am a cultural mediator and translator for the English and Spanish languages. I attended linguistic high school and later obtained a degree in English and Spanish as a cultural mediator in the forensic sector. Languages have always been my passion, in fact I have done various jobs as a translator and interpreter at trade fairs or conferences. I also did some experience abroad, living in a host family, precisely in England, Germany and Spain. I love multicultural contexts in which you can have the opportunity to meet many people of various cultures and speak different languages, because I consider it as an approach between the many cultures that exist. Hello! My name is Ainhoa, I am Spanish and I live in Bilbao, a city in the north of Spain. I love languages ​​and learning about new cultures, that is why I decided to teach Spanish. I find it very gratifying to see the students improve.

Hello, I have a BA, MA and CELTA, with 15 years' experience in teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I have taught groups and 1-1, children and adults, in class and online, General and Business English, all levels from Beginners to Proficiency, and have successfully prepared students for exams in IELTS and FCE. I got certified with the University of Cambridge TKT test, developed empathy to students, polished my method, and the last 5 years I have been teaching english in an online environment.
After years teaching online, I can say that the computer screen is not a limitation. I love to see my students thrive in a new language, I develop my own exercises too, My classes are fun, dynamic and interesting to say the least, I believe I have the patience to create exercises and drills for my students and approach learning from a different perspective and overcome boredom, tiredness and lack of discipline.
