my name is Domagoj, I am from Croatia but live in Sweden 10 years of my life. I live in a small town in the north of Sweden. I love Swedish language and can speak it on the level of native speaker. I have a bachelor in social work and have worked in both Swedish and English speaking environments. For instance as a school counselor in an English speaking high school and as an English teacher in Cape Town in South Africa for kids.

I am studying Spanish myself at the moment and I know how hard it can be in the beginning with a new language. I also know how much fun it can be when you start to actually be able to communicate in your new language. The educational field has always been my passion. Since I was a student in the UK doing my BA degree in English Literature, I started volunteering to teach secondary school students and support them to feel more confident in school. I graduated from Newcastle University (UK) in 2006 doing my first Master's degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL  after getting my CELTA (Cambridge certificate in language teaching) certificate as well from Durham University, UK. I worked as a TOEFL/IELTS teacher and Business English trainer for seven years. I was entitled to a supervisory position as a head of department in a language institute, so I decided to do my MBA at Wales University  to enhance my skills in the planning training materials to teach Business English and building a professional community for teachers.

My education has helped me be part of several international educational institutes like the AMIDEAST in Dubai and Abu Dhabi (UAE), and the Centre of British Teacher (CfBT), EDT in Abu Dhabi and the UNHCR in Lebanon.
 
Moreover, I was part of The Humanitarian Response course that took place at Harvard University where I learnt in depth about topics related to Protection, Emergency and Security Management. 
 
Besides my passion and education I believe my experience relates to this position specifically in several points, I will mention a few below:
 
·       My MA has exposed me to edtech through using CALL (Computer assisted language learning) during my MA and carried out projects related to that.
·       My current experience as an operation manager and QA of Reports at EDT for the ministry of education has enhanced my analytical skills of data collection and analysis. Besides, I led a survey to drive change using data analysis to achieve customer satisfaction at assist.ae.
·       All my roles needed me to create a strong relationship with several stakeholders, build a community of open ideas and solving problems to achieve bigger goals while keeping updated and connected to the educational field.
 
Finally being a teacher for seven years teaching English as a second language paved the way for me to advance into the other roles and relate so closely to teachers and students.

My name is Katerina, I’m a native Russian speaker and a foreign language teacher from St Petersburg, Russia. I’ve always been addicted to learning foreign languages, be it English, German, Spanish, Turkish or Arabic, so turning my passion into my job was just a matter of time. I have a Master’s degree in linguistics which taught me to understand the way the mechanism of a language works and thus to help my students see the logics behind the grammar rules. Being a constant language learner enables me to see the process from both sides and to predict the difficulties my students might face. The fact that I’m not a native speaker of English or German means I’ve been through exactly the same language-learning journey you’re about to take, and thanks to my personal experience as a student, I can make this road smooth for you.

My name is Yora Atanasova. I have been a tutor of English and Bulgarian online since 2013, in-person in non-formal language schools, and then solo online.

I have also worked as a staff training and qualification expert within the Bulgarian career guidance system in education. For a decade, I have been an independent EU expert in the fields of vocational training and guidance and non-formal education mainly.

Writing short stories and blogging is my hobby. Currently, eco skills have also become of prior importance to me; as I have moved to live in symbiosis (commensalism) with nature.

MY EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

First of my Master's degrees is in Pedagogy, the second one is in Cultural and Historical Heritage.

I have obtained an IELTS certificate, band 7.5,, and also a 50-hour TESOL certificate through a MOOC .

METHODS

Facilitating natural learning through creative solo activity and in-group interaction and communication, with some flavor of art.

Methods used are largely based on Suggestopedia and "democratic education" under the school models of Sudbury Valley (USA) and Summerhill (UK), plus ICT.

This creative language learning in small groups through reading/writing and communication includes:
- TWO GROUP EVENTS a week: a webinar and a presentation event;
- DAILY TASKS between the group events: SOLO ones - on individual creative projects, and peer project reviews IN MICRO GROUPS of 3÷4 people.
There is much solo work of creative character to be done and enjoyed, as well as feedback e-forms to be filled in.

The two group activities take place on:
✓ Monday and Wednesday;
or
✓ Tuesday and Thursday.

The weekly project produce can be:
- A written text, original or translation;
- An audio story / video with the text display;
- A combination of both.
