I have a bachelor in social work and have worked in both Swedish and English speaking environments. For instance as a school counselor in an English speaking high school and as an English teacher in Cape Town in South Africa for kids.

I am a BA in Education graduate, with vast experience in primary, secondary and higher education levels, as well as in other activities related to education. I believe I have a diverse background which makes me a very adaptable teacher and with a lot to offer.
Most of my experience is in high school ,in adult education and university students. My name is Matilde, I'm 30 years old and I come from Montpellier. I have been living abroad for almost 8 years.

I have a Bachelor degree in applied foreign languages (LEA) as well as a Master degree in FLE (French as a foreign language). My mother tongue is French but I also speak Portuguese and English fluently. I have been teaching French for 6 years and European Portuguese for 4 years. First of all I started to teach as a French lecturer at the University of Passau in Germany. During this first experience I had the opportunity to: giving class to plenty of students, preparing classes, being a part of the conception and evaluation of orale and written examinations.

My name is Katerina, I’m a native Russian speaker and a foreign language teacher from St Petersburg, Russia. I’ve always been addicted to learning foreign languages, be it English, German, Spanish, Turkish or Arabic, so turning my passion into my job was just a matter of time. I have a Master’s degree in linguistics which taught me to understand the way the mechanism of a language works and thus to help my students see the logics behind the grammar rules. I am originally from Reggio Emilia and I have a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Italian, English and German. Both degrees were obtained at the University of Applied Sciences ZHAW in Winterthur (in 2014 and 2016). For 12 years, I have been teaching Italian privately and tutoring adults and children of different nationalities (including Italians), from a beginner to an academic level. From a linguistic point of view, my strengths are an in-depth knowledge of Italian grammar plus "verbal creativity" (use of synonyms, different levels of connotation and register, specialized languages, ...).

My aim is to help my students reach their goals, whatever it might be. I don't insist too much on the achievement of certain levels (A/B/C), but I focus on the needs and preferences of each individual, which can range in any direction (from writing without mistakes to widening your vocabulary to getting by on holiday in Italy to understanding the logic behind a language ...). To do this, I set a first meeting exclusively to understand language level, difficulties, objectives, and deadlines of the person in front of me. This is the starting point to create a customized programme. This way, nobody will get bored: my student will play an active role in the learning process, having fun and falling more and more in love with the bella lingua :-)

My teaching techniques include an "entry test" to understand the student's linguistic "weaknesses", training in listening, reading, speaking, and writing and a "final test" to check improvements and learning pace. I select teaching materials with the students so that they are based on students preferences. These teaching materials might include translations, dictation exercises, dialogues, songs, videos (taken also from YouTube, Instagram, FB...), reading books and magazines. I am available for both live and online lessons.
