Hi everybody! My name is Flavia, I am a young and motivated teacher of Italian as a foreign language. Languages have always been a great passion... for me, because thanks to languages it's possible to get in touch with other cultures. After travelling and studying languages in university, I've started teaching Italian in reception centers for asylum seekers and later on in schools and cultural associations. In my opinion, teaching a foreign language should respond to the specific needs of the learner, give tools to the human need for communication and make it possible to relate to different ways of thinking. TRADITION AND INNOVATION Graduated in Translation and Italian L2 Ditals certification (currently trainee) I generally use an... inductive-communicative method (from language to grammar rule). I like to mix tradition and innovation, communication and culture. Having said that, I think that the method must be adapted to the specific characteristics and motivations of the learner to keep his interest and attention high. The materials I use are varied, relying on the manuals and countless resources available on the web. I like to create exercises and activities designed specifically for the student and I find it very important to stimulate reading (also making use of graded and adapted to the learner's level).
