Hi everyone! My name is Georgia and I am a foreign languages tutor. I come from Greece and I currently live in Germany for the past 3 years. I... am graduate of German Literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and I have also successfully completed one academic year at the University of Hamburg in Germany. Having chosen Linguistics/ Teaching as a specialty, I have been equipped with a lot of knowledge and techniques to teach German as a foreign language. In my bachelor I also chose Spanish as a Second language. As part of my studies, I successfully completed a two-month internship at two public schools in Greece. My teaching experience starts from 2010 until today, through mainly private lessons, usually one by one, also in groups, as well as in class. I am using series of books that make the lesson as enjoyable and practical as possible, as well as techniques and material depending on the needs and goals of the student, to make learning as easy as possible. The lesson with me is flexible and our goal is always for the student to reach the desired goal. I invite you to take a trial lesson with me! :) Read more

I always make sure to give advice and tips during the lesson, so that students can be able to understand and communicate in Greek when they come to visit. Be sure you will get the real deal with pronunciation, grammar, syntax, oral and written language. I could also prepare my students for a certificate if needed. Γεια σας! Hello to everyne! I am Stella and I am a native Greek speaker and a qualified Greek teacher. I was born in Crete, where I... work as a Greek language teacher, giving private lessons, face to face or on-line, to people of all ages, from all over the world. My qualifications include: a bachelor's degree in Philosophy Greek Linguistics from Patras University, as well as certification in Teaching Greek as a Foreign Language, from The Center for the Greek Language in Thessaloniki. In addition, I hold a certification from Aegean University in Special Education. I have over 9 years experience of teaching Greek, both face to face and on-line to people of all ages, and all over the world. My first teaching Greek language experience was in 2010, when I started giving private Greek language lessons and since then I have never stopped. Additionally, in 2018 I successfully completed the Program “Routes in Teaching Greek as a Second/Foreign Language” which provided me with a certified specialization in teaching Greek as a foreign language. So, what does a typical session look like with me? Overall, I customise my teaching style according to my students' goals and needs. I highly believe that learning has to be personalized, by taking into account that diversity is an important aspect. For that reason, my teaching method has a student- centered approach, focusing on the specific needs, interests and pace of every student of mine, considering always that the main motivation is the learning process. In that way I try to meet every time the needs of my students by adapting the curriculum ( pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, reading, writing..) to my students' characteristics. Moreover, I believe there is no magic button to enable you to learn a language overnight. I believe it is a combination of desire, practice, effort and discipline. But don't worry, I will be there to help you with that, as much as you need and can help steer you in the right direction on your language learning journey. Ιf you are interested in one of my lessons, please do not hesitate to contact me for more details. I will be very happy to help you discover step by step this beautiful language. Read more

Hello. My name is Katerina Fragkopoulou and I am a linguist. I have finished my PhD studies in neurolinguistics with a topic related to Greek... language and Alzheimer's Disease. I have experience teaching Greek as a second language. I have taught online and face to face at the Modern Greek Language Teaching Centre of the University of Athens. My teaching method is mostly interactive and conversational because I believe that through conversation students can better acquire the language. At the A1 level, I use a lot of cards and pictures for lexical acquisition and to get my students familiarised with the Greek alphabet. Then, gradually I try to teach some conversational features, e.g.small phrases so that they can introduce themselves, ask for some information and communicate in Greek for the basics. Gradually, I teach some grammatical phenomena, such as noun phrases, gender features and the use of some basic verbs. I teach from different materials (course books, exercises books) and refer to some sections in grammar and lexicons as a supplementary or a secondary source of knowledge. Read more
