my love for children and teaching came from a young age. I was in high school when the passion started. I worked for a local daycare in my town , so much grew from there. I went of to be an au pair in the USA . I loved working with the children and learning from their culture. My mother and I decided to open our own home-daycare a few years back. It is doing absolutely amazing. In my afternoons I tutor 2 grade 4 children and one grade 6 boy . during lockdowns I do full day school with them and teach them. I recently work for the school, they had a assistant teacher programs , we had to observe lessons as well as to stand in for the teachers when they were absent . I taught lessens for grade 1 up to grade 8 . in all types of subjects . I gained a lot of hands-on experience from that.
I did my virtual online TEFL course and that was an absolute blast to accomplish. I had the best trainers, who gave us so many tips in teaching online and having an online presence that will equally teach and engage the student.
I have a few teaching methods that I love to use in my classroom . I like using music , games , visuals , media like videos and interactive games to help teach my students material that they not only will see on the screen but will be able to remember going forward and to help keep my students attention through my lesson to ensure they are learning and observing as we move through the lesson.
I will be using the teaching material based of ,of the age and needs for my specific student I will be teaching . I want to taylor the students lessons so that it will be able to fit perfectly to his needs and learning wants. I have great recourses and material as well as TEFL syllabus that will help me put together the perfect lesson plans for all my students, because when it comes to teaching it is not a one-size-fits-all.

The book/ books used in the class have exercises that actually make your brain work and are not always easy to do ( this is for people who had experience with easy and boring grammar materials). We play dialogues, we have conversations through which the teacher understands where I am with my level and is trying to make adjustments to the program. And there's a lot of homework (when you ask for it) !!! : )

During my university years, my stories have been published in major Turkish literary magazines. After my graduation I have been specializing in children's book illustration and literature. I founded children's book publishing house in Turkey. The name is Yıldız Tozu Publishing and my books were released. I worked as an editor-in-chief in the company. Here my methodology when I teach Turkish:
I will use the grammar books and my presentations, time to time.
For speaking practice: illustrations, daily conversations
For listening practice: Turkish songs, movies, series
For reading practice: news and articles about Turkey (for advance students), stories, picture books (for intermediate students), texts from language books (for beginner and intermediate students.)
If students need to focus specific area like writing etc. I am designing my class according to that.
In addition, it is because I am using broad material about Turkish media, you will be familiar the culture and sociology of Turkey.
