My name is Cristina, I'm a CELTA qualified English teacher and I have a Master’s Degree in Foreign Languages; I speak English fluently and I can communicate in Italian, Portuguese, French and Spanish. Being a language learner myself and thanks to my educational background I have a deep understanding of language structure and I can easily put myself in my students’ shoes and understand the areas they might struggle with.
I’ve been giving private lessons for one year, to both teenagers and adults of all levels. My lessons are very student-centered, which means that my first priority is to get to know you in order to tailor the lessons around your needs and interests. At first, teaching online was a challenge, not for the knowledge, the didactic or the way to get to students, but for the whole new set of resources at my disposal and how to use them effectively. The variety of tricks with the camera, magic, puppets, the limit was my imagination; that feeling was really overwhelming. But, as I said at first, I took this as a challenge, a new way of expanding my inner resourses and finally, widening my understanding about teaching.

I'm Slađana. I'm 37 years old and I'm a teacher in Primary School, teacher of Croatian language and Teacher of English as a second language (TEFL).
The focus of my lesson is on results. That means that I will let my students know at the beginning of each lesson what result I want to achieve.
It is important for me that my students like me, I want them to be relaxed and confident to talk. They are investing significant time, money and energy into learning language, so they deserve the best possible instructions.

I have been teaching foreign languages since 2012. I obtained a Master's degree in teaching English and French back in 2014, and completed my study in France afterwards. I worked both with adults and children.

The focus of my lessons is speaking. I motivate my students to start speaking from first lessons and stop waiting for a perfect language level to speak. It is very important to overcome a language barrier from the first lessons and start gaining confidence while speaking a foreign language. Making mistakes is a part of trying to master any new skill. I adapt my lessons according to personal needs of my students. Everybody is different and don't need the same things. That's why it is important to work on motivation, and why of a student in the beginning to be able to construct the best plan of actions. We discuss weak sides and desire of a student which help me a lot in our work.

I like to use only native speaking materials. I I use video and audios from native sources as well. I adapt and develop a lot of exercises to work on after every lesson.

I have a total of 9 years of experience, teaching a variety of subjects, especially Business and English to all age groups. I have taught in the classroom setting as well as online. I have been teaching English as a second language online for over a year now.
I use creative teaching methods, through case studies and simulated scenarios that are related to everyday life activities. Dear future student, during my language teaching practice I've worked with over fifty individuals. Some of them pursued the language exam, some just used it for their everyday life in Slovenia, or with Slovene partner. Despite certain routine, the main reason that even after seven years this work is still very exciting for me, lays in the individual relationship and approach with respective person. Since I lived abroad myself, I know first hand how it feels like to learn a new language outside of school.
