I'm Isabel, a native English speaker from the UK, based in Spain! I am a patient, enthusiastic, passionate teacher with seven years of experience tutoring.

I started helping out at my secondary school and I was later recommended as a tutor by the school and went on to tutor children in differing subjects. Having always had a great passion for languages, Spanish and French have been my main focus when it comes to tutoring; helping many students prepare for their GCSE and A-Level exams with a variety of oral, listening, reading and writing-based classes.

In my gap-year, I worked towards a Trinity Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, which gave me the necessary tools needed to prepare lessons that would be both dynamic and rewarding for my students.

In 2018 I spent 6 months in Paraguay teaching English at a local school. While this enabled me to achieve fluency in Spanish, my packed schedule with all ages and abilities meant it was essential to adapt my methods of teaching to accommodate each individual student’s needs. While studying for a Masters in Translation last year, for which I achieved a distinction, I also worked as a tutor at Pembroke Tutors, preparing students for MFL exams and also teaching English. I am currently located in Granada, where I tutor online and teach English to Spanish children.

Of course, teaching is always a very personalised task but I feel that my experience means I am able to quickly understand my students and their styles of learning.

Hello everyone! I am Vanessa and I am 30 years old. I graduated in Modern Literature at the University of Bologna and I have a Master's degree in Science of Religions obtained at the University of Padua intrateneo with Ca' Foscari. I started tutoring Italian a few years ago mainly to high school kids, who got very good results; this past year I have been teaching adults and children.
When I lecture with children, I like to make sure that they choose how they prefer to lecture, and I propose to them a nice talk on a topic of their choice, or to read a simple story in Italian, or to play some didactic game to better remember the Italian terms seen before.
With adults who prefer a more theoretical approach, I try to identify the topics in which they have the most difficulty and propose a lesson about it; I use small examples to allow the student to test what they have understood so far. I also provide the notes about the lesson.
If a more practical approach is preferred, I propose a conversation on a topic of choice, writing down the new words and making them available to the student.

I would love to help you improving your Danish speaking skills. I have been a teacher at coLanguage for more than three years now, but as a teacher in `the language music´ I have been working for several years. I have 25 years of experience as an organist in a church. I teach choirs for children and adults and I have been a piano teacher. I feel that my experience in teaching choirs and pianostudents and playing music is very fruitful for the way that I teach Danish. I have followed an intensive online Dutch course and as a student I think it works out very well. You are making progress very fast, because you speak a lot, and the teacher can take your speaking level as your starting point.
