Portuguese Tutor with 15 years of experience in classroom and one to one classes

Over the past 15 years I have worked as a teacher and as a tutor.
Despite my expertise area is languages I have taught other subjects to Portuguese students and I have also taught Portuguese - Language, History and Culture - to foreign adults who live in Portugal or simply want to know more about the Portuguese way.
I try to create a relaxed environment so students can feel comfortable. I motivate them by pointing the good things they do and in a polite, smooth way, correct the bad or incorrect ones.
I like to tell stories and whenever I feel the lesson is getting too heavy, I make a pause and talk about our History, our traditions, places to visit or food to try if they come to Portugal; in a word a bit of culture. They relax, they learn, they like it.
I am a calm and very patient person. Living in the countryside allows me to go for long walks either in the woods around my village or by the sea just a few kilometres away. I am also a diligent, punctual, self-confident and optimist person.
