Hi! My name is Regina, and I teach the Russian language.
I graduated from Pushkin State Russian Language Institute with a degree in Russian as a foreign language. I have been teaching Russian since 2015. I worked individually and in groups — both international (and mixed ages) and mono-national. I worked with students from Australia and China, Vietnam and Italy, Cuba and the Czech Republic, Poland and Spain, Finland and Bulgaria. Since spring 2020, I have been constantly teaching online. I have worked as a tutor, in language schools and the institute. And today I invite you to my online lessons!
In my classes, I try to create a trusting and comfortable atmosphere. I believe that everyone is capable and talented. Also, it's okay to make mistakes.
It is important to me that the student is interested. For example, I like psychology and sport and I want to talk about them in a foreign language. And what is interesting for you? It is important to me to combine a student's hobby and learn a foreign language.
In my lessons, I pay a lot of attention to grammatical difficulties. What's the difference between "эту дверь нельзя открыть" and "эту дверь нельзя открывать"? We will discuss this in class. Also, it is important for me to develop the student's habit of talking about the same thing in different ways. "Я люблю спорт, но не могу заниматься им каждый день." "Хотя мне нравится спорт, у меня нет возможности заниматься им ежедневно." These are different sentences, but the meaning is the same.
In my lessons, I use not only textbooks, but also real texts from social media that use real modern speech. In addition, I often create beautiful and user-friendly learning materials and prepare online tests, quizzes, and presentations.
I can help you if you:
✨ just starting to learn Russian and you have trouble understanding the difference between "в город" and "в городе" or "я иду" and "я хожу",
✨ you have been studying Russian for several years and want to know grammar better,
✨ you've been studying Russian for a long time and want to discuss important issues with the help of texts from social media.
So, see you in class? ;)
