I am Munny, a Lagos based online teacher. I have a bachelor's degree in Sociology and a 120hour TEFL certificate.

When I was in high school, I started volunteering to tutor my classmates as it helped improve academic performance, retention, and personal growth. I enjoyed helping people learn difficult material as it encouraged higher level of thinking and improved my self-esteem.This led me to pursue teaching as a career and later go on to become a full-time tutor.

Between 2014 and 2021, I have worked as an Early Years and Keystage One teacher where I was relied on to teach young learners reading, creative writing, grammar, comprehension and conversational English as part of the curriculum. Presently, I am more focused on helping learners prepare for IELTS and other examinations.

As a teacher, I’m very energetic, consistent and patient. I lean on these qualities heavily while I’m tutoring. I think my energy helps keep students engaged and motivated with the material, and my patience allows them to move at their own learning pace comfortably.
