Hello there! This is teacher Melmar and I am from the Philippines! I am a positive and a cheerful person. I love interacting with different people. I am fond of learning different cultures that is why I am interested in teaching students of different nationalities. I am highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who wants all students to be successful learners. I love working with students of all ages and encourage creative expression. I like adventures and get- away camps that is why I love travelling so much. I am friendly and easily get along well with others.
I took Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English from a respected university, the University of Pangasinan. I have earned my academic requirements in Master of Arts in Education at the Pangasinan State University. Furthermore, I have also completed TEFL and have undergone different Philippine-based trainings in line with my field focusing on the enhancements of my English instruction’s techniques and strategies. I have been an English classroom teacher for almost 20 years now. Currently, I am a Master teacher, English Coordinator and Reading Co- Coordinator of our department. I have also been an online teacher for more than two years. I am a Licensed professional and a certified National trainer in a well- known worldwide association, the Girl Scouts.
I am trained and skilled in adapting to students' diverse learning styles. I have experience in one-on-one tutoring and group instruction of ESL.I taught students from different nationalities and of different levels. I teach not only beginners, intermediate and advance but I also handle professionals. My teaching style is that I demonstrate the ability to consistently individualize instruction, based on student's needs and interests. I am committed to creating a learning atmosphere that is stimulating and encouraging to students. That is why I give my 100 percent best in each class.
