My name is Maria and my passion is to learn and teach. I believe that the best way to learn is by teaching. I have been teaching for the past twenty years, starting since I was on the first year of my first bachelor in Education and Psychology, which i graduated with distinction. Since then, I have continued studying acquiring three masters in classics,counselling and intercultural education, a second degree specializing in Latin language and I keep learning languages. I also love reasearch therefore I participate in scientific conferences publicing my own work focusing on the topic of language teaching. I read a lot of psychology books and articles, because I want to establish a genuine communication with my students. I believe that learning is a process of emancipation.
I try to apply the communicative learning method even in ancient languages, because I believe that language is an alive vehicle to immerse in the culture.
For me every student is a chalenge with a unique goal: to help them expand their horizons. Therefore, I try to employ genuine learning materials, mostly audiovisual, because I believe that learning a foreign language should assimilate to the way that chilfren acquire the language since they are born. Learning should be a joy, based on experiental learning methods.
I acknowledge that it is a chalenge. But it worths taking it! After all, there is never a loss from learning. Learning is always a gain!
