My name is Salvador Pina Roca I am Spanish, and I have a Bachelor’s degree in nautical science and maritime transports (University of Barcelona) and a Senior technician in navigation and maritime transport (Palma de Mallorca maritimeschool).
I've been in the merchant navy industry since 2000.
I learned English in the Scandinavian countries where I lived for three years, there English is their second language.
Back in Spain, I completed the entire North American studies program that certifies that I have an advanced level in writing, reading, speaking and conversation in English.
Due to my profession as an officer and sometimes a Captain of the merchant marine, especially on ships with flags of convenience, English is the language spoken on board, whereas French is the most widely spoken language on the African continent.
If I had to talk about myself I would say that I am a very outgoing person who likes the contact of people and work as a team, I like to travel and meet people, in a word I am in love with my profession and I think my best skill is communication because different points of view enrich our owns, besides my countless trips I guess that's the reason why I speak Italian French English and I have basic notions of Swedish and
Norwegian.
I also use the English language as a teacher since I have been teaching general operator classes for the GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress Security System) in several maritime schools for more than a year.
These classes are held in English and train the student to intervene as officers or captains in the maritime security protocol in which all the international authorities are involved.
Since I am an HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript programmer, my teaching method is somewhat innovative.
It is designed to support the creation of new works of computational writing, working with natural language in programmable media.
