My name is Ben and I am a native British English teacher with more than 20 years experience in education.
I have spent many years teaching various levels of English from Kindergarten through to University and high-level business, doing so in such diverse countries as Japan, Thailand, Malta and Holland. I have now specialised my teaching to TOEIC, EIKEN, IELTS, test taking and business English but will happily teach anyone.
I am professional, dependable and a TEFL certified teacher with a huge range of experience in teaching and life. I take my teaching seriously and expect the same from my students I am not a clown but engage with al levels and age groups. My passion for teaching comes from my desire to help people better themselves. Having students pass their exams and achieve their goals is a major driving force for me. I use various techniques designed to improve the comprehension and retention of the material being used.
Regarding my teaching method, I have taught in all of the 5 major teaching styles and adjust my lessons to use the appropriate style for that lesson. Personally, I prefer the lecture and hybrid styles as these fit into the classroom experiences I am using most often.
