English Teacher

Hi! My name is Marta. I'm a 22 years old Spanish girl who graduated last year in English Studies (with the especiality in English Education) in Spain. I also have the TEFL certificate by International Open Academy. I've been teaching English for 3 years to different groups and ages, from little kids to adults. In fact I'm currently teaching English in an important Bilingual School in Madrid. Additionally, last year I did my Erasmus in Finland where I learnt a lot of teaching methods and tecniques. Although the vast majority of my teaching experience is as an English teacher, I recently started to become interested in teaching Spanish and I have helped several people to learn the language in different language online platforms such as Tandem. I'm a native Spanish speaker and I have the DELE certificate also by International Open Academy. In relation to my teaching methods, I want my students to have a good time while learning the tongue. Therefore, my classes are dinamyc, entertaining, based on real life situations and useful. I'm not very focused on writing or grammar as many academies and schools are. Of course we'd practice grammar and writing skills, but I like to base my lessons more on speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary. To sum up, I want my students to learn the language of the street so they'll be able to communicate with friends, in their work and when doing everyday activities.
