Hello! My name is Rubina Vasilyan, and I am a native Armenian speaker from Yerevan. As a professional teacher I'm really excited about the opportunity of teaching Armenian online. I'm fluent in English, Armenian, and Russian.
I've been teaching both standard Armenian and Western Armenian to English speakers. I understand every student learns in different ways and so my teaching method varies depending on the learner's individual needs, skills, goals and level of language proficiency. I use a number of teaching methods and materials. I focus on communication, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, listening and reading. I can teach both absolute beginners and those with a high level of knowledge. By the way, all the necessary materials will be provided for the student – from text documents to audio files.
Having gone through the language learning experience myself, I have a good sense for the feelings and thinking of the students I teach. This allows me to tailor the Armenian learning experience to meet each student’s personal needs.
As a teacher I am demanding but also patient, kind and friendly. I am very hardworking and carefully prepare every lesson. I try to motivate my students and do my best to engage them in the learning process, keeping it fun and interactive.
