Communicative and Academic English

Hi, my name is Jose Florez. I was born in Colombia, raised in the United States, specifically in New York. I have a bachelor degree of science in elementary education with emphasis in ESL from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix Arizona.

I grew up in Long island and as a Latino I know what it means to struggle with speaking English and even more living in a country where English is the everyday language.

I developed a way of learning (Methodology) which I then improved as I studied to be a teacher and now I use it as the tool to teach others how to speak English just like a native speaker.

I now live in Colombia where I have my own institute. It is a skill development center created to aid all those students who attend international schools an not only struggle with English as a second language but in some of these schools the language is taught as a 1st language which also makes is even harder for them. In addition to this the language also becomes a barrier when it comes to understand and develop skills in other subject which are also taught in English, like Science, Math, Global Perspectives and others.

I have been a teacher since 2011. Since then I have worked in many Universities and prestigious international schools in the country and I have excel at being one of the best at achieving both academic and communicative results in students in a very short amount of time.
