Conversational English
I would regard myself as dynamic and fun as I believe that language learning needs to be fun and exciting. I have experience of working with children and adults alike. My on-the-job experience has equipped me with a well-rounded skill set that allows me to adapt and plan my lesson plans to meet the needs of all diverse students. My accent is a mix of South African and British English, which is great for extending your listening and comprehension skills. I look forward to sharing and learning together.

I attended university and obtained my certification in Nursing.
15 years of clinical nursing experience working holistically with sick, vulnerable and healthy children and families. Working in various settings such as hospitals, community and primary healthcare services.
Although I do not have any university teaching qualifications, I have trained, assessed and supported many student/junior doctors and nurses over the years. An educator is one of the many roles of a nurse, be it educating and empowering the child and parent on use of medication/therapies or simply equipping then with knowledge and skills to care for their child's health or injury. Furthermore during my role as a research nurse, I ran many research projects where I had to teach fellow research nurses and doctors on the running of various projects.
I left nursing and decided to change profession. I obtained my online TEFL certificate whilst working in various teaching positions. I have taught children in a creche and home settings using play as my medium. I currently give face2face and online conversation English lessons to adults from various employment sectors. Before the COVID19 pandemic, I used to run week-long language immersion workshops, filled with creative fun workshops and games that met the needs of all diverse students. I currently give online lessons via Skype, Zoom or Goole Meets.
