I am a PhD holder in German studies from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany, and I have been teaching German and the subjects related... to German language, culture and literature for more than 20 years. At the same time, I led intensive German courses (DaF) for students who started with German from scratch and needed to be prepared for their studies in Germany. I started teaching during my studies at university. Most of the jobs I was given back then involved working with teenagers and adults. It was a challenge for me but I loved it! Later on, I spent 16 years in Southeast Asia, where I worked at various universities and gained enormous experience in working with multiethnic and multicultural groups. Apart from that, I also had the opportunity to participate in the development of study programs. In addition to German, I communicate in English, Czech, Russian and I speak a tiny bit of Malay. After training as a pastry chef and studying business administration, I traveled a lot and discovered my interest in languages. To find out more about teaching languages, I decided on further training at the Goethe Institute and completed it. During the Goethe Institute "Learn to teach German" course I was able to give individual language lessons and actively support the examination preparation for the Goethe certificate.
My lessons are needs-oriented. That means that learning goals are discussed with you and based on your level of knowledge. Whether grammar, sentence structure, pronunciation, expression or the practice of communication situations: German as a foreign and second language classes are flexible and take place in a group or one-to-one lessons with individual support and are based on your wishes and requirements. Hello, Wie gehts? Ich heiße Anna! What can I say? Learning German language isn´t easy but I´m happy to say that I´ve chosen the right teacher for me. She is very nice and patient. She happily answered all my questions and explain things in a way you can understand easily. She gives you different homeworks in which sometimes I can´t submit on time because I´m currently undergoing surgery and therapy but she is so understanding about it. Now, I somewhat understand some German writings I´ve read without translating it, and i´m just so happy that I am making progress. Thanks Christin!

My name is Kilian, I am 29 years old and I am a Spanish guy from Canary Islands.
A year ago I graduated in Spanish Language at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and I also finished the course that accredits me as a DELE examiner for levels B1 and B2 by the Instituto Cervantes. After studying abroad for six months (Czech Republic) I knew that I wanted to dedicate myself to teaching Spanish as a foreign language, so here I am!
Of course, my mother tongue is Spanish, but I also have an intermediate level of English which can be very useful to solve some doubts that may arise during the classes.
So if you want to learn more about Spain, about the fourth most spoken language in the world, and one of the most widely spoken languages in the planet, I look forward to share with you all of my knowledge in our class!

Hi! I’m Yasmina, a professional German, English, Russian and Slovak teacher for adults and teenagers. I am fluent in 4 foreign languages and I have sucessfuly passed C2 level exams for English and German. I have a Masters degree in foreign languages and cultures from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. During my studies I have done a couple of exchanges abroad (Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Qatar, Iceland, etc).
I have lived in 4 countries, therefore I know how challenging it may be - to learn and SPEAK foreign language afterwards. I’ve been teaching and learning languages for more than 8 years (3 years of teaching experience). I am absolutely sure, that your learning process starts, when you begin to speak.
