Japanese is my favourite language (not an otaku though, my otaku phase was over long ago). Untranslated videogames became a huge motivation for learning the language, but the actual challenge of learning in itself (grammar, listening comprehension, reading kanji without hiragana aid…), and deciphering such a difficult language entertains me more than gaming nowadays.
