Hello, I’m Almudena, I’m 27 years old and I’m from Madrid. I’m a translator, a proof-reader and a Spanish teacher. I studied a bachelor... on Art History and Philosophy in the Netherlands, and a master on Literary Translation. I’ve got the diploma of Teaching Spanish to Foreigners. My mother language is Spanish and I have a high level of English because of having studied the bachelor in English and abroad. I’m really interested in languages, knowing how they work, paying attention to how is it used, that is why I really enjoy teaching Spanish and make others understand it, everything has its logic. I have experience teaching different levels of Spanish through groups and private classes. I’ve organized curriculums and courses. I like to use material that is as real as possible, for the students to learn not only grammar, which is very important, but also culture, vocabulary and language in context. In my classes I like to balance the four skills that need to be developed to learn a language: written and oral comprehension and written and oral expression. In the first class we would do a level test and an needs analyses, because the organization of the classes will highly depend on the student’s objectives and interests. I've graduated English Studies and studied a year in UK. I'm passionate about laguages and I'm sure of the power of dedicatio and determination... to achieve anything (e.g. to achieve speaking a language). I've been teaching for 3 years now to children and adults. All my experiences have been wonderful and unique, since each person has different interests and skills. Learning a language involves many aspects, like knowing daily expressions, but also it's important to pay attention to cultural elements, besides listening and pronunciation.
