I am a qualified Spanish teacher with a certificate for teaching Spanish to foreingers and a Master in Teaching Spanish Language and Literature... in Secondary Schools by CERE FECA (Federation of Christians Schools in Madrid, 2011). Also, I have a degree in Philosophy and Education from the University of Barcelona (1990-1996. Spain) and postgrade in education and theather. Lately, form 6 years ago, I´ve been teanching spanish for foreigners. I started teaching spanish througout theater. This is a very important method to teach. I developed my own method for teaching spanish. I had the chance to run it, and the outcome of it is very useful in my classes nowdays. My skills as a teacher blend it very well with the comunications skills that theater can give it to me. Since we are Lockdown I´ve been working on line, and at the same time I´ve trained in several courses in education on line as Santander IE Best Practices in Digital Education for Teachers. Ie University-Banco Santander. For all these reasons, teach, guide, enhance skills, integrating interests, develop ideas, disseminate, are the main skills that I present in my profile. This learning scheme consists of associating the new words directly to thoughts instead of translating to the corresponding native language idiom: the word in your new language will be stored in your brain as a proper entity, and not as a translation of something else. I do love grammar but I prefer working with images, feelings, and actions instead of spending ages filing an exercise book, and our goal is to help our students to express their thoughts and feelings spontaneously, without any mental translation process. I'm studying for a Master's degree in Interpretation (Languages) and I study and work with English and Spanish. I have a Bachelor's degree in... Interpreting Studies (110 cum laude) with English and Spanish. I have a good command of these two languages thanks to the reduced number of students per class (this year there're only two of us) ALWAYS taught by native speakers. I also studied and worked in three Spanish cities (Seville, Valencia, Granada). The lesson is personalized and unique, based on the needs and personality of the student. In general, I use both a grammatical/theoretical approach (especially if the student has to focus on one or more specific aspects for a test) and a practical one, through dialogues / texts on topics chosen by the student.
