Since 2016, I am an Italian Language and Culture teacher. I've been operating mainly in India, where I worked for several universities. Having... a background in Philosophy (MA/M.Phil), my goal is, on the one hand, to teach language in context, on the other hand, to focus on what I call "the darkside" of language, o rather the collective rituals, the practices and the cultural beliefs, in which languaguage is rooted. Therefore, I tend to priviledge, at all levels, teaching materials not specifically designed for teaching purposes: litterature, comics, music, videos, movies, social networks and so on... Moreover, I like to stress students' creativity - a lot! Sounds challenging? Maybe! However, this approach enhance the effectiveness, in all contexts, of what is thereby learnt, as well as it speeds up the whole learning process. Hi everybody! My name is Flavia, I am a young and motivated teacher of Italian as a foreign language. Languages have always been a great passion... for me, because thanks to languages it's possible to get in touch with other cultures. After travelling and studying languages in university, I've started teaching Italian in reception centers for asylum seekers and later on in schools and cultural associations. In my opinion, teaching a foreign language should respond to the specific needs of the learner, give tools to the human need for communication and make it possible to relate to different ways of thinking.
