Hello! My name is Giulia, I am 29 years old, I was born in Milan, Italy, where I currently live. I studied Intercultural Communication at the... University of Milano Bicocca, and at the moment I am pursuing my Master's degree in Modern Languages and Literature (English and German). I have always worked as a private tutor of languages, with students of all ages, especially between the age of 20 and 30. I taught private lessons of: Italian for foreigners, English (from level a1 to level b2) and basic Chinese. A few months ago I came back from China, where I completed a year of teaching at a private English school, teaching children between the ages of 2 and 10: a unique experience that I hope to repeat soon! Here I have acquired in particular many teaching methods useful for the younger learners, who, as we know, can easily get bored and lose interest in learning a foreign language. My teaching method is customized according to the needs of the individual student, and leaves a lot of space for the student to try and express themselves without fear, especially in speaking. As for children specifically, it is a much more interactive method based on play and fun. The learning materials clearly vary according to how the lessons are administered - face-to-face or online. In general, I use exercise moduls, texts to read with relative comprehension exercises, assignment of short papers about a certain topic, and for the little ones even flashcards, games and songs to memorize, plus any choreographies - everything is great fun! Hi! My name is Selene, I am a certified teacher of Italian as a foreign language and I'm here to help you learning or improving your... Italian. First, let me say a few words about my self. I was born and raised in Milan, a big city in the north of Italy. Since I was a little girl I love italian (and foreign as well) books and literature. For this reason I have studied Italian language and literature at University of Milan, where I graduated with the maximum grade. After 26 years living in Italy, I moved to Sydney - Australia - for an year and here I had the opportunity to teach Italian to foreign students: thanks to this amazing experience I met new friends from all over the world and I discovered how much I love sharing my culture and teaching my mothertongue.
