Certified Italian teacher here to help you learn or improve your Italian :)

Hi! My name is Selene, I am a certified teacher of Italian as a foreign language and I'm here to help you learning or improving your Italian.
First, let me say a few words about my self. I was born and raised in Milan, a big city in the north of Italy. Since I was a little girl I love italian (and foreign as well) books and literature. For this reason I have studied Italian language and literature at University of Milan, where I graduated with the maximum grade.
After 26 years living in Italy, I moved to Sydney - Australia - for an year and here I had the opportunity to teach Italian to foreign students: thanks to this amazing experience I met new friends from all over the world and I discovered how much I love sharing my culture and teaching my mothertongue. I understood that learning a new language means building a bridge between two cultures and let the student really enter in contact with the other culture and understand it properly.
I am also a student: at the moment I am studying French and Chinese.

When I came back to Italy I decided to obtain a specialization in teaching Italian as foreign language and so I joined the university for foreigners of Siena and I graduated at Master DITALS, getting DITALS 1 and 2 certificate. I've been teaching Italian since 4 years now, I have experience with children and adults of all levels: from beginners to advanced.

Now, if you have decided to learn Italian with me, let pass to the second step. First of all, we will have a first meeting and we will have a conversation that will allow me to understand your proper level of Italian, your needs and the goals you want to reach. I will customize my lessons depending on your needs and goals. After, we will meet regularly to face all the linguistic aspects: speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and all you need! What I really want to do is to customize the lessons on your need because each of us has personal goals to reach: maybe you want to learn Italian to get a job, to pass an exam or just simply to survive your next trip to Italy :)
