Hi! I have been teaching Italian for several years and I offer Italian lessons for all levels and all ages. In my lessons I often use ad hoc... didactized Italian movies and songs, to bring students closer to the authentic language and culture and I always try to stimulate interest in literature. I try to start each lesson with a motivating lexical activization and then to analyze in detail the text (video, audio, written, oral) to face also some grammatical or cultural aspects. I have taught since I began attending university, it means it has already been roughly six years. At first I taught english to friends of mine... who simply wanted to get further glimpse into this language. After the bachelor I moved to Rotterdam where I learned the Dutch language at a B1/B2 level. After that I began my master degree in Treviso and now I use Chinese to teach Italian to Chinese speakers. The teaching method I adopt is a significantly active one. I want students to speak rather than write, because it is in the brain and the mouth that the real learning takes place. Ciao! Hello! This is Silvia, from Florence (Tuscany)! I have always been passionate about languages, I've graduated in Linguistic and Cultural... Mediation in 2016, from the University for Foreigners of Siena, and then I completed the School of Specialization for Teaching Italian to Foreigners at the same University. Since High School, I have done private tuition in various humanities subjects (English, Italian, Spanish, German, French, philosophy, history). From 2018 to 2019 I have been teaching Italian to immigrants in Italy, then I moved to the UK in May 2019. Since then, I've been working as a Business Manager for an Education Consultancy company in London. At the same time, I've been teaching Italian (Private Tuition) to Italian learners with any background or age ( 25 to 75 years old), from a beginner to an advanced level. Passion, dedication, patience, trust, and active listening are my strong points. Thanks to my study and practical experience in the field, I have gained skills and creativity in programming and organizing my lessons online, on Zoom/Skype, using great interactive tools such as videos, songs, pictures, digital documents, PowerPoint presentations .... and it turned out that online learning is very productive and time-saving (in terms of traveling)!
