What our teachers offer
French and German teacher
Welcome to my teacher Profile !
My name is Frédéric and I'm French and German teacher. I studied and worked in Germany for six years (in Giessen and Berlin). I have a Ph-D in law. After working in law firms, I decided to become a teacher. I enjoy sharing my knowledge.
I have more than eight years experience in different areas of knowledge. I taught law for two years when I was a Ph-D student. I worked as a "Culture générale" (general knowledge) and French teacher in a private school. During the last four years I taught German at a school in France.
My teaching style depends on the student's age and level. I adapt myself to the situation. I can start with the basics. In the best case I promote self-learning. I enjoy when students develop critical thinking, even in a foreign language.
In general I use different ressources : audio and video materials, newspapers, songs, grammar exercices, etc. It is important to prepare a dynamic lesson. I will give homework and I will stay available between the lessons. Keeping the motivation is the key to success !

Hello,
My name is Tiska. I am a French Teacher with experiences with adults and teenagers in Public Education (USA) and Language Schools. I am holding a Master Degree in FLE (Teaching French as a Foreign Language).
Join a small group of learners of 2 or 3 for conversation lessons with me. An article or video to watch before the lesson and a conversation with personalized corrections during the lesson. This option saves you at least 10 euros per lesson on Colanguage.
Group opening:
Monday and/or Wednesday from 17:30 to 18:30 (French time).
Level: intermediate (B1)
Also, standard French lessons
- level A2 (low intermediate)
- 2 hours a week
- ask for schedule
Don’t know your level? Ask for a free level test.
I give Skype lessons to people who need or want to improve their French language. I like to use material from the internet (videos, article etc.) to introduce a theme which leads to a lesson and a conversation.
I like to create engaging learning with my students. I will give as homework a document to watch or to read with comprehension exercises so the time we have on skype is only speaking practice and explanation if needed.
I can help you prepare DELF-DALF Exams or work on specific needs (as professional French).
Really like to speak about all the subjects with the student especially those the student like so it gives the motivation to speak in the foreign language.
The free first lesson is organize to know your tastes, your level and your needs so we can plan the next lessons about the objectives you fixed.

To speak English, it is imperative to think in English, and not to merely translate your native language to English. This is my intention for you. Specializing in teaching English at all levels and ages enables me to create fun learning experiences for my students.
I can help you reach your TOEFL &IELTS (General – Immigration & Academic – University application) goals with guaranteed results. I have taught TOEFL prep courses to over 150 students. Over 100 of these students have achieved a band score of 100+ scores. In addition, I have taught IELTS prep courses to many students. In these courses, I often use original material and I provide strategies on how to answer step by step each section of the TOEFL &IELTS tests, i.e: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking with a focus on the section you have the most difficulties with. You’ll receive instant feedback from me, and I will evaluate your progress over time. Additionally, I will mark your task 1 and 2 writings and grade them. The number of lessons I suggest after the trial lesson depends on your current level of English and the score you would like to achieve. Please feel free to ask me any more questions you might have.

Welcome! I am teacher Madi. Are you looking for a suitable teacher for your Farsi course? Please read carefully:
I have a thorough and valuable experience in teaching Farsi. I have been teaching Farsi since 2014. My strong initiative and exceptional organizational skills allow me to play a crucial role in a fast-paced teaching environment.
Besides, with the ability to simplify lesson plans and homework assignments in line with specific curriculum objectives, I believe I will immediately make a noticeable impact on your Farsi education standards and you will find my classes warm, productive and fun.
I started to work as a teacher when I was in my twenties. At that point, having neither a degree nor experience, I taught English for a few years and gained more knowledge and hands-on experience in teaching methods. Then I started teaching Persian in different online platform in 2014, and I found it fun and exciting and an eye-opening journey. Since then, I have taught over 300 students from different countries and made a truly precious background. I am still trying to gain more information on teaching tactics and helping Persian students achieve their goals.

My lesson with Mahdi was great. The speed and quality at which he adapted to my linguistic requirements was astounding. We worked through some of his original teaching material, which were always spot on to my level. And fun - he makes ample use of jokes and asks his students not only to "understand" them, but also uses them to elicit an impromptu analysis by the student of "why this was funny". This holds true as well for exercises in picture analysis and exercises in hearing. Mahdi gives enough room to experiment with the language in the "free talk" section and writes his comments and corrections live. Every single one of his written or spoken comments are invaluable to either clarify aspects of grammar or prompt his students to talk. Mahdi switches consistently and comprehensively through the different phases of a lesson without ever cutting one phase short or lingering too long -- proof of his experience and hundreds of lessons taught. He has an exceptional knowledge of Persian grammar which he however breaks down to a level his students can understand. His knowledge and his application of modern teaching methodology is impeccaple. He has also pointed me to several online resources to improve my learning experience. I'm looking forward to continuing my journey to Persian B2 and onwards with Mahdi.

Native speaker from Paris with about 15 years of teaching experience. I’m well-travelled, and I’ve lived and worked in different parts of the world (Europe, Latin America, North America, Africa, Australia and a little bit in Asia).
I have a postgraduate degree (France) in Languages, Literature and Cultural Studies and I’m currently a freelance translator. I’ve previously worked at universities in France and abroad (South Africa/Australia) and have a solid experience in teaching (French Language, Literature, Philosophy, Cultural Studies, Creative Writing, etc.), designing courses, evaluating and guiding students, preparing students for exams/job interviews/professional presentations, managing a Language and Literature department at the university, presenting papers at academic conferences worldwide, publishing, translating and journalism. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to teach people with different profiles and from various backgrounds: international professionals, university students, beginner translators and teachers, high school students, retirees, travellers, francophiles, children (help with homework), etc.
Being an open-minded, flexible and patient teacher, I enjoy helping others to discover their potential and to explore it. Adapting myself to my students' needs, pace and objectives is essential for me, and designing the best way to work with each student is very stimulating and rewarding.
After the initial introductory lesson, I will design customised lesson plans that will evolve as you progress. We can also, at any time during the programme, change our working method if you wish to do so. I remain very flexible in that regard.
The learning materials will be varied, and we will choose together the themes and aspects of French language to be covered, in line with your objectives. In any case, I am very attentive in general, so please don't hesitate to make any suggestions.
Regardless of your level and objectives, I'm sure that we can find the best way possible to share and enjoy this French language adventure together.

Hello!
I'm Slađana. I'm 37 years old and I'm a teacher in Primary School, teacher of Croatian language and Teacher of English as a second language (TEFL).
The focus of my lesson is on results. That means that I will let my students know at the beginning of each lesson what result I want to achieve.
It is important for me that my students like me, I want them to be relaxed and confident to talk. They are investing significant time, money and energy into learning language, so they deserve the best possible instructions.

Well done on making the first step to learning English! It is a fantastic addition to your professional or personal profile. I started my journey as an actress, I moved quickly into the world of Education finding my passion in early childhood development. I am a qualified teacher and have been working in international schools for many years. I recently acquired my TEFL certificate allowing me to expand my horizons and teach online. I grew up in Hong Kong before moving back to England. I have lived in Portugal for the last year teaching Portuguese and French children, I loved the diversity and felt I wanted to teach adults too. Since then I have been tutoring online which has given me the chance to meet people from all over the world and help them on their language journey in a comfortable and open environment. I am married to a Frenchman so I have basic understanding of French and I have a French tutor myself!
I usually test the level at the beginning and then plan with the students the goals they want to achieve. After that with every lesson I check progress and points to review with the help of a log to have a clear plan in every lesson. I believe it is VERY important for the teacher and student to share a positive connection and for both parties to feel comfortable. Drop me an email to make the booking!

**** Please contact me before booking a lesson, thanks! :-)*** Hello everyone, I'm Federica and I'm an italian and english teacher. Before being a teacher I've been a student infact I graduated in languages so I know very well how hard can be learning a new language. I'm interested in music, cinema, literature and I enjoy talking about several topics. I've been teaching since 2009 and in 2012 I've qualified as italian language teacher. I've experience with children and adults, with in company courses, with total beginners as well as with advanced. Also I've succesfully prepared a number of students for the most important english and italian certification (CELI, CILS, FIRST, PET, KET). Over the last years I've became specialized in one-to-one or small groups lessons because in this way I can create a tailored programme for each student. I follow a communicative approach and in my classes there's lot of room for speaking but I don't neglect grammar, listening and writing. I provide you with material, sometimes selfmade, other times taken from books, videos, or songs, but always useful to help you to immerse in the target language! At the end of every lesson I always assign homework in order to revise the things learnt. I define myself as a happy, positive and very patient person and I do my best to make the class a funny and relaxed moment. I look forward to meet you online!
