This is Sumru. I am a native Turkish speaker from Istanbul. I graduated from Translation Studies in 2014 and speak English and Spanish. I lived in Madrid for half a year and in different parts of Australia for a year.

Also the reason I chose Translation Studies is that I have a great interest in languages, including etymology, linguistics, phonetics and cultural aspects of them and I love not only learning about them, but also teaching them.

Becoming a professional translator requires a better command of your native language than your second language, so the Turkish I will be teaching will be more comprehensive than that of a native who hasn't studied languages.

I have been teaching Turkish online in another platform, and now I am on colanguage. I offer individual lessons for students, based on their goals, needs, language levels, and some other factors.

If you only want to prepare orally for an exam with me, I offer conversation lessons where I give you strategies and tips on how to pass the exam. You will do a lot of speaking and learn the phrases that are most important for the exam at your level.

I am a fun, enthusiastic and creative individual who has over 10 years of experience in teaching .I have taught in various parts of the world, South Africa, Thailand, Columbia, Peru, Europe and UK just to name a few. I attended a Foreign Language High School in Italy and passed the first year at the University (foreign languages ​​and literatures) in Udine, Italy.
I worked in the retail and hospitality industry in the past, assisting guests from all over the world, talking with them in Italian, English, German and sometimes French.
I managed an after-school program for children (elementary and middle school) with a friend, and I taught them how to improve their knowledge of English and German language.
