Hello everyone! My name is Javier and I have been teaching Spanish as a foreign language for more than 10 years. In addition to being a graduate (in philosophy and literature), I have the certificate of pedagogical aptitude from the Spanish Ministry of Education and I am certified by the Cervantes Institute as a Spanish teacher. But as I say, above all I have more than 10 years of experience teaching the language, giving private classes, both face-to-face and online, in schools, academies, language schools, companies, in short, in all possible areas. My methodology is very simple, it consists of understanding the student, detecting their needs and objectives, but also their way of being and studying. How do I do this? Easy, because I am a normal guy. I like reading, traveling, meeting my friends, watching movies, sports, painting, making music, in short, I think and feel like you, this is what I offer, honesty, and the tools for you to express yourself in the language about all facets of life, both professional and private. Some people believe that it is enough to learn a lot of words about a certain area, tourism for example, and that's fine, it's useful. But what is really going to make the difference is your ability to express what you want to say, and this is what I am going to teach you, how to express yourself in the language, how to look for what you want and get it. As for the materials, don't worry, I will give you everything you need, textbooks, audio material, video, etc. If you want homework, you won't be short of it! I am very good with beginners and intermediate students. I help with pronunciation, learning new vocabulary and grammar. I always offer corrections and offer endless speaking opportunities.

I enjoy teaching and more than anything I enjoy teaching English, but as much as I teach I am always looking for an opportunity to learn. I allow myself to learn something from my students as many times as they are willing to teach. Together with my students, we create an atmosphere of on-going conversation around our class topic.

I have a Bachelor of English degree, as well as a 120-HOUR TEFL Certificate. I am mostly fluent in English, as it has the language medium throughout my entire life and school career.

Hello! My name is Andrei, and I'm a professional theater director and educator from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. I teach theater all over the world - in Europe and the USA, and I teach Russian online for anyone who studies Russian and loves Russian culture.
Learning and teaching languages is my passion. As a theater director, I interact with Russian language and Russian literature on daily basis, so, when teaching Russian, I strive to share my love of it and spread my knowledge.
No less than Russian, I love English, which allows me to communicate with the world. In 2018, I won a Fulbright competition and as a Fulbrighter and Visiting Scholar I taught Russian theater techniques at two American universities - The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and The University of Illinois at Chicago. This experience helped me improve my spoken English and convinced me that language is a powerful tool for cultural exchange.

Qualifications & Experience
As a tutor, I've been teaching Russian online for about 2 years. During this time I've taught around 50 students - from beginners to advanced. Among my students I have had an American military pilot, an American embassy officer in Kazakhstan, dozens of college students, and others. I've gained some experience in diagnosing student problems and finding effective tactics to improve their skills.
As a person who was trained a lot in voice and speech class during my studies in the Saint-Petersburg State Theater Arts Academy, I can also help you significantly improve your pronunciation.

Teaching Approach
I believe that it's not enough to learn grammar and vocabulary to master a foreign language. One has to be immersed into a real language, a language people really speak, which is always different from those versions we encounter in various textbooks.
On the other hand, it seems to me important to show students higher examples of the Russian language - the literary language. It's essential to know which speech sounds good and to distinguish it.
I mainly rely on conversational practice. However, as to their homework, I strongly recommend students to listen to Russian speech using various videos and podcasts, and I give them four special techniques for working with these types of materials. I firmly believe that listening can create the basis for future communication skills. There's no doubt that children begin to speak imitating the speech of their parents.
During my lessons I use "Russian in Exercises" written by S.A. Khavronina and A.I. Shirochenskaya - a book published in 2014, which became a bestseller among those who teach Russian as a foreign language, "53 Models of Russian Grammar" by T.M. Dorofeeva and M.N. Lebedeva, various exercises, tables and games, as well as interviewing and retelling.

My name is Laia, and I am an infant and primary school teacher, specialized in additional languages. This year I have finished my second degree in Early Childhood Education. Previously, I had completed my degree in Primary Education in English. This last year I have combined my studies with a job in the reception classroom of a school. My main aim was to teach newly arrived pupils the official languages of my country and helping them to adapt to their new environment.

In addition, I have been an English teacher and monitor with students of different ages. I can adapt to my students, looking for the best way to individualize their learning.

Furthermore, I did the 120 hours course with TEFL this summer as I decided to delve more deeply into teaching English as a foreign language to help my students in a better way.

I would describe my classes as dynamic and entertaining. The aim is that during the first class we get to know each other so we can find out what your needs and goals are.

For my classes, I will use different materials that I used in my previous jobs, for example, games, role plays, flashcards, grammar summaries, or sample exams.
